Considering that I'm married to Cedar Cove's private investigator, you might think I enjoy mysteries. But I don't - especially when they involve us! Roy and I have been receiving anonymous postcards and messages asking if we "regret the past". We don't know what they mean.

Would you listen to 50 Harbor Street again? Why?

I like how this book has multiple characters that you follow throughout the series. If there are any characters you don't like, you can still thoroughly enjoy this series. That being said, I like all the characters in the book and enjoy listening every day.

What does Sandra Burr bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Sandra Burr is an excellent narrator. She has several voices so it is easy to understand dialogue and which character is speaking.

    Any additional comments?

Excellent series with some romance, small-town lives, and a little bit of mystery throughout.

Grace Stanton’s life as a rising media star and beloved lifestyle blogger takes a surprising turn when she catches her husband cheating and torpedoes his pricey sports car straight into the family swimming pool. Grace suddenly finds herself locked out of her palatial home, checking account, and even the blog she has worked so hard to develop in her signature style. Moving in with her widowed mother, who owns and lives above a rundown beach bar called The Sandbox, is less than ideal. So is attending court-mandated weekly "divorce recovery" therapy sessions with three other women and one man for whom betrayal seems to be the only commonality. When their “divorce coach” starts to act suspiciously, they decide to start having their own Wednesday "Ladies' Night" sessions at The Sandbox, and the unanticipated bonds that develop lead the members of the group to try and find closure in ways they never imagined. Can Grace figure out a new way home and discover how strong she needs to be to get there?

Where does Ladies' Night rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Ladies' Night is extremely entertaining! Mary Kay Andrews is one of the best authors to listen to on Audiobooks because her stories keep you so intrigued and the narrators are always so good!

What other book might you compare Ladies' Night to and why?

I would compare this book to any of Mary Kay Andrews' books, but I can't think of any other books to compare it to. The books are funny, emotional, and I can always relate to the characters in the book. I think everyone knows people like the characters in these books, so they are really easy to follow along with and will keep you laughing the whole time!

Before Liz Lemon, before "Weekend Update," before "Sarah Palin," Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true. At last, Tina Fey's story can be told....

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I thought this book would be a lot funnier since Tina Fey is hilarious, but it was kind of boring. Tina Fey does a good job of narrating it, but the content is just a little boring.

Has Bossypants turned you off from other books in this genre?

    Yes

After a political scandal, fledgling lobbyist Dempsey Jo Killebrew is left almost broke, unemployed, and homeless. She reluctantly accepts to refurbish Birdsong, the old family place in Guthrie, Georgia. But, oh, is Dempsey in for a surprise. "Bird Droppings" would more aptly describe the moldering Pepto Bismol - pink dump. There's also a murderously grumpy old lady who has claimed squatter's rights and isn't moving out. Ever.
