What could be worse for a former high school beauty queen who never landed the only man she ever loved than attending - alone - a 10-year high school reunion in a small town teetering on the edge of a time warp? At least that's how successful textile designer Jane Louise Jones views her situation and her hometown, just south of nowhere in the rolling hills of Louisiana, where a woman is still looked at as a failure if she isn't married.

"Shrill and nasally narrator ruins the book"

What disappointed you about Jane (I'm-Still-Single) Jones?

I never write reviews but I was driven to comment on what I think has to be the WORST narrator I’ve ever heard. I reacted to her voice like nails on a chalkboard and after 45 minutes I gave into the torture and turned it off.

What didn’t you like about Leah Frederick’s performance?

There was nothing I did like about her performance. There was no variance in her narration and it was nasally and awful. I will never listen to another book narrated by Leah Frederick.

    Any additional comments?

I should have listened to a preview of the book before using a credit. What a waste.

Mafiya enforcer Aleksandr "The Siberian" Sevastyan’s loyalty to his boss is unwavering, until he meets the boss’s long-lost daughter, a curvy, tantalizing redhead who haunts his mind and heats his blood like no other. Ordered to protect her, Sevastyan will do anything to possess her as well - on his own wicked terms. PhD student Natalie Porter had barely recovered from her first sight of the breathtakingly gorgeous Sevastyan before the professional hit man whisks her away to Russia, thrusting her into a world of extreme wealth and wanton pleasures.

A narrator can make or break a book. I really appreciated Kimberly Alexis's performance in particular her Russian accents. She brought the story to life.

And what a story! I was really impressed with the balance of plot and character development with enough romance to keep me blushing!

I can't wait for the next book in the series.
