If I closed my eyes, I could still see them - all blonde sunshine, ocean-blue eyes, and long limbs. The glint of Lake's gold bracelet. Pink cotton candy on Tiffany's tongue. My scenery may have changed from heaven to hell, but some things never would: my struggle to do right by both sisters. To let Lake soar. To lift Tiffany up. The sacrifices I made for them, I made willingly. A better man would've walked away by now, but I never claimed to be any good. I only promised myself I'd keep enough distance. If I'd learned one thing from my past, it was that love came in different forms. You could love passionately, hurt deep, die young. Or you could provide the kind of firm, steady support someone else could lean on.

I was initially hesitant to listening to this book because I'm not a fan of creepy Lolita type of books. Fortunately, there was so many 5 star reviews that helped me understand it really was not that type of book. There is no underage sex in this book. Yet, it. is a forbidden love story. This series is more of a coming of age and sisterly rivalry that goes too far.

In Book two, Lake and Manning have not have contact in four years due to Mannings marriage to Tiffany, Lake moving to New York and Manning's parole contraints. When Manning's legal problems are behind him....all bets are off and he goes to New York to check up on Lake. and for as much as his intentions start out almost brotherly, well old feeling for Lake resurface.

The first book was more like a drama, but this book explodes with love and forbidden sexual desire that makes Lake and Manning forget any moral responsibility towards others. This author's gifted writing, sucked me in with her beautiful words and intense scenes that made it extremely difficult for me stop the audio. I blew through all three books in two days. These books are emotional and intense that make it difficult to forget Lake, Manning and all the characters involved with this tearful story.

Additionally, this audio book has two of the best narrators in the industry. 5 star story and nnarrator's. All three books are worth the purchase.

I knew something was wrong the second she walked in the door tonight; I just couldn't put my finger on what it was. Same hair color. Same legs. Same face. Except...I look harder. At the small dimple beneath her lip that wasn't there the last time we went out. And her laugh - that laugh isn't as loud. This isn't the girl I've gone out with the past few weeks. It's her twin sister, and they've switched places on me.

I absolutely love Sara Ney's Douche Bag series, so I was excited to find this little novella. Switch Hitter involves the referred to Barbi twins, Lucy and Amelia and a college baseball player, Dash. Now I am not going to say this is a Cane and Able type of story, but one of the twins (Lucy) is very self-absorbed and the other twin (Amelia) always cleans up Lucy's dating messes. So once again, Amelia is put into the situation to go on one of Lucy's dates because she doubled booked herself and really Lucy is just not into the college baseball catcher, Dash. So, Ameilia to the rescue, but what Dash, Amelia, and Lucy do not realize is that there would be an overwhelming connection between Dash and Amelia.

This story is short, sweet and has some interesting moments. My only issue with this book was is was so short. I wished it could have been written as a novel rather than a novella. With that being said, it was a great audio to fill a few hours for me. I love these narrators which made their story come to life. If you like Sara Ney's stories, then it is worth the purchase.

Growing up, the three of us were friends. He was the nerd. I was the playboy. She was the beauty. Deep down, I only ever wanted her. I kept it inside because Rory and I made a pact that our friend, Amber, was off-limits. He lied. I went off to college, and he got the girl. Amber never knew how I felt. They were together for years - before he broke her heart. Through it all and across the miles, she and I casually stayed in touch. When my job sent me to Boston for a three-month contract position, Amber let me stay in her spare room.

Honestly, I was really excited to listen to this book because I have really enjoyed Penelope Ward's books in the past. She generally can bring love, laughter and emtions to her stories with some surprises that has typically made me really enjoy her books.

Now, I'm not going to say that I didn't enjoy this book. Unfortunately, I found that at times, I was struggling to pay attention to the story, even with the great narration by Andi and Sebastian. Fortunately there was a bit of a twist in the story that got me interested in the last fourth of the book.

Overall, this book was just okay, especially if you listen to a lot of romance books like I do. Still for some people who enjoy simple stories with a HEA, then they would probably find this book enjoyable. I would give 3.5 to 4 stars.

Songwriter Dylan McCoy has been burned. By her boyfriend she found in her bed...with someone else. By the contract she signed that obligates her to work with him until the songs for his new album are complete. By her agent when she asked Dylan to keep their breakup on the down-low. First of all, I really love K. Bromberg books because she is able to create sweet, steamy and emotional stories. Several of her books were on my 2017 favorite list so I was excited to dive into to her "hero series." Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed in Cuffed (see my review), but it could have been more to do with the female narrator that got me a bit frustrated with her whiny and non-sexy voice. So needless to say, I was not sure about this audio, but I was encouraged since K. Bromberg used two of the best narrators in the industry to bring to life Dylan and Graddy.

As the summary of this book states, Dylan is a famous songwriter for her world famous rocker boyfriend. Her commitment to him and their songs have skyrocketed him to professional stardom. Unfortunately, "Rocker Boyfriend," has a philandering type of personality and when Dylan catches him with another woman in her bed, she packs up and leaves to stay with an old friend of her brother. Since she is under contract with their label to collaborate to create more songs with her ex-boyfriends, she decides it would be best to rent a room from Graddy and hide her whereabouts from her ex and the media.

Graddy is a man's man and has devoted his life to firefighting and has agreed to help his friend out and let Dylan stay at his house. Graddy who was once a big player is immediately intrigued with Dylan and finds his new roomy sexier than sin. Too bad Dylan does not see herself that way because she is constantly portrayed in the media as " the dumpy fat girlfriend." Dylan equally has his own demons after recovering from a tragic fire accident that continues to consume his world.

Can these two put their demons behind them and find a physical and emotional attachment that both are truly craving? This book has many laugh out loud moments, along with deep emotions that can almost make the listener cry as we watch their story unfold. I love both Dylan and Graddy and all the supporting characters in this book.

5 stars for Combust along with 5 starts for Andi Arndt and Sebastian York"s narrations. Ultimately, I can not wait for the third Hero installment from K. Bromberg.

Manning and I have what happily ever after is made of.... A home he built us on the unshakable foundation we fought for. A life of laughter carved out of heartache and betrayal. A love story to stand the test of time. But between a trust that can’t be broken, joy that can’t be bridled, and passion that would scorch the sun, the empty spaces are becoming more and more difficult to ignore.... Fears that keep Manning up at night as he slips from our bed. Our complicated relationship with a man he respects, and one I don't know how to forgive.

A few months ago, I down loaded the start of Lake and Manning's story and I was so engrossed with their story. I literally listened to the first three books in a day and half. At the end of the third book, I felt a bit short changed.

Fortunately, Jessica Hawkins and her fans encouraged Jessica to write the fourth follow up book. And boy, it did not disappoint. Once again, I listened to "Lake + Manning" in one day. Their story picks up at after Lake moves in with Manning at his Big Bear home while she is finishing Vet school. Unfortunately, their next step is marriage and babies, but in Lake and Manning style, nothing is ever easy for them. Plus, both Lake and Manning need to address their issues with Lake's parents and Lake's sister/Manning's ex-wife in order to move on with their lives. So will Lake and Manning get their ultimate HEA? I guess you will find out.

This book will fill in all the gaps and make you swoon. Plus, we get one of the best narrators in the industry to bring their story to it's conclusion. 5 plus stars across the board. Thank you Jessica for giving your fans the ultimate ending to Lake and Manning.

I am definitely growing to absolutely love this author and I believe this book solidifies my feelings.

This is a stand alone story about the intense love of a teenage romance and what can be so wonderful and perfect, along with difficult and tragic. the story starts out sixteen years after Garett and Callie have moved on from their high school relationship. Cali's decision to move across the country, to attend college causes the break up between the two because of the difficulty having a long distance relationship. So Both Callie and Garret agree to break up.

Fast forward, Callie needs to help care for her parents due to a car accident, so she temporarily moves back to Jersey and accepts a substitute teaching position at the school where her high school boyfriend coaches and teaches. Even though Garett has been a bit of a *Player" since their break up, which does present a bit of a priblem for this reunited couple, their chemistry is too strong to stop the sparks from reunting. Of course, life is not so simple for two thirty somthing adults that have repressed their feelings for sixteen years. Will Garett and Callie be able to give each other the ultimate sacrifice that will be needed to have their HEA?

Emma Chase writes a beautiful, sexy and fabulously humorous dialog in this second chance love story. And as a extra bonus, we get to hear Callie and Garett's story presented by two of my favorite narrators. Zachary's smooth and sexy voice will melt your panties right off of you and Andi"s narration will make you laugh and cry. They are the perfect blend to present this fun, sexy, and emotional story. If you are looking for a sweet romance with two fabulous narrators, then this book is so worth it.

Five Aston has known Rory Shrike for as long as he can remember. He played with her in the sandbox. He went to every damn horse show just to be supportive. He helped her with her French, walked her home from school, and faked his test scores just to stay with her a little longer and not be sent off to college early. But eventually he had to move on. And so did she. Never has a second chance meant so much to a boy who loves a girl.

    Story

When I first listened to one of JA Huss' books, "Taking Turns," I was blown away by the brilliance of the story. This is an author that gives her readers a Mind F*@* after reading many of her books. So needless to say, I moved on to the Rook and Ronin series which was completely addicting. So naturally, I wanted to listen to the story "Five" since it is somewhat a continuation of the Rook & Ronin series. I will say that it might be a good idea to read Happily Ever After, first (it's a novella), if you want the full relationship backstory of Five and Rory, but it's not necessary.

Five takes place after Five Aston returns to Colorado after leaving Rory high and dry as young teenagers. When Rory finds out the love of her life is returning after six years, she changes her summer plans and goes back to her hometown in Colorado, hoping to see Five and find out why he has not contacted her in all these years. Five, on the other hand, was really only coming to Colorado to put out a fire. Five is a genius and some of his money making activities have come with a price. Fortunately, with any JA Huss' books, there is much more to come and there will be plenty of romance, plus deep secrets that will be revealed.

For as much as I love all of Huss' work, I must say this book fell a little short for me, but that is compared all her other great books. Since I personally love stories where there is more of a build or an awakening of love between the hero and heroine, I like to call it book foreplay, Five's story did lack a bit of heat for me that I typically enjoy from other Huss's books. The main idea for this book is that Five and Rory have loved each other since they were in children and Five has always been Rory's night in shining armor and Rory has always been Five's princess. So why did Five Aston stop communicating with Rory after he went to Oxford when he was 16? Why on earth would Five Aston ever leave and stop talking to the love of his life for six years? This is just one of the secrets that are revealed in this book. Plus, there is a whole lot of other deep drama that will come to play before Five Aston and Rory get there HEA. Don't get me wrong. It's a great story and the narrators are fabulous. I would definitely give it 41/2 stars overall.

I had seen this audio on my recommended list for a while, but it was generally getting 4 stars, so I continued to pass it by. One of my audio blogs highly recommended this book because of Sabastian York's performance. Now, I will say that I am a big fan and Sabastian York. He is one of my favorite narrators. So, I was interested in listening to this book because several people indicated that it was his best performance. Of course, I don't think Sebastian can give a bad performance. I will say that since Tangled was released a couple of years back, there have been so many newer books that Sabastian has narrated that far exceeds this book. Therefore, I can't say now it is his best performance. Since Narration is only one part of the overall enjoyment of an audiobook it is still necessary to consider the storyline. For me, this is where the book falls short.

Normally, in my reviews, I do not start with discussing the narration, but in this case, I felt like it was the most important element because the story was just so-so.The beginning starts out interesting with the texting in which our hero and heroine don't really know each other, but once Drew finds out who our heroine is in the story, the plot starts to fade a bit. Since I read a lot of romance and have read plenty of office romances, this story falls a bit flat. The ending was nothing special. The ending was fairly typical in which our hero turns a new leaf and decides he loves the heroine and will do backflips to make up for his insensitive behavior which initially causes her to break things off. Normally, I love stories like this, but again... something was missing that I just can not put my finger on it. Is it worth the purchase? Yes..No..Maybe! I am not sure because there are so many fabulous audiobooks out there for the money. Will you be totally disappointed? No, because how can anyone be disappointed in Sabastian York's voice and his smooth sexy narration. He is the true Alpha narrator that he can take any "B" rating book and make it an "A." Overall combining all elements I would give right at a 4-star review.

I absolutely enjoyed A. L. Jackson audiobook "Show Me the Way." So I was excited when "Follow Me Back" came out on audio, especially since I loved the sexy doctor, Kale in book one. As with the first book, which I would encourage everyone to listen/read first in order to get the background of the three guys that make up each story in order to fully understand their emotional dilemmas. You will get a little flavor of what all three men have emotionally dealt with for price of love.

Kale picks up where he left off in book one. A faithful friend and pediatrician that devotes his life to his clients and the people he loves. The only problem...Kale really does not love himself and blames the death of his first love on missing a critical piece of medical information that might have saved or prolonged her life. So loving someone new is out of the question, until he meets Hope and her son, who was born with a heart defect. Struggling to protect herself and her son from her son's cruel hearted husband, Hope wages the battle of her life to divorce her husband and get him to release his custody on their son. So for Hope, this attraction to Kale is risky and untimely because of the complications surrounding her divorce. As a result, Hope is forced to conceal the real story surrounding her past life and current situation with her son's father. As for Kale, he continues to emotionally struggle to deal with the possibility that his desires for Hope will prevent him from focusing enough on his patients. Therefore, Kale's internal worries make it difficult for him to let go of his past so that he can fully love again. So can these two damaged individuals find love while dealing with their past in order to find their HEA? Remember nothing is ever easy in a good romance novel and this book takes a few twist and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

As with Many of A. L. Jackson's stories, there are emotional monologues that can be a little slow at times but ultimately are important for the emotional flare of the story that Jackson brings to her novels. As far as the heat meter, I would say fairly mild, but a bit more emotional as compared to some of the other contemporary romances books that I have read over the past year. The narration is 5 plus star and Andi Arndt and Joe Arden give another fabulous performance. Worth the purchase.

First, I love Helena Hunting and her "Pucked Series," and some of her other books. So I was excited to see this in the romance package selection. I am waiting for one of her new releases. So I thought this would fill in the time till the next audio is produced. Unfortunately, this left me struggling to pay attention which is weird because Jacob Morgan is one of my favorite narrators. As a result, I did not finish this book.

Now for some people, I believe they will enjoy this storyline. Unfortunately, I felt that the backward approach of the couple who is already in some form of a relationship and sleeping together at the very beginning of the book did not give me the type of chemistry or build up that I prefer in a good romance. Lets us just say, I need some form of "foreplay" to connect with the characters. Much of the story, I listened to was all about our hero trying to find out what his ex-girlfriend was doing or what the real reason she walked away from him. Since the hero really painted himself so unworthy of his girlfriend, I started to believe him which is not sexy if I view a book hero as a loser. I need my heroes to have that sexy charm which was completely lacking in this book. Additionally, I felt like there was so much damage that was caused when the heroine walked away at the beginning of the book, that their relationship could never fully recover in order for me to get that fantasy HEA. Remember, this a make-believe romance, not a real relationship. We all know many real relationships that people go back and forth and hold on to a bad situation. Unfortunately, I am looking for some kind of fantasy when I select books. I have read/listened to hundreds of romance books over the years, so I have questioned what makes a story a 5-star rating, What I have determined is that there is somewhat of a formula and if that formula is broken, then the story can become flat. I think for some people who want more of the Cinderella or more of an alpha-like story, then this book might not appeal to you. Overall, The narrator's voices were excellent. C+ story A- narrators.

Note: If I would have purchased it, rather than using the romance pkg, I would have finished it.

    Story

This author takes an interesting spin on long-term marriages that appear to have the traditional success that people wish for. Yet, she explores varied and secretive reasons on how many couples are able to maintain their marriages. This book is filled with several women who have been married for 20+ years, in which they share their secrets of marriage. Those secrets range from developing outside hobbies to finding other male companions to fill the gaps that are missing in their marriages. These stories are heart-found and personal. Yet, with any relationship type of book, some people listening, might not completely agree with all the situations.

As far as how the book is laid out, I feel there was a bit too much repetitive discussion at the beginning of the book. I got a bit board listing listening all about Iris's marriage which frankly was not that interesting, but I am glad I kept going with the audio because there were some really interesting stories. As far as the narrator, she did an excellent job on this type of book. At times, she had to read the instructional aspect of the book, while being able to change her narrating style to match a fictional type of stories, even though these stories were claimed to be real-life situations. Overall, I would give this a B+.
