When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. It was extemely entertaining. The narrator does a great job deciphering the characters.

What other book might you compare Fifty Shades of Grey to and why?

There is no comparison. This book is quite different from any mainstream "list" books I've read or listened to. I would say this is as close to erotica as one could get considering it's a best seller! That's impressive by itself!

Which character – as performed by Becca Battoe – was your favorite?

Love, love, love Christian Grey! Sexy as hell!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Oh yes!

    Any additional comments?

I think that most of the people who didn't like the book, didn't give it a chance. Most people aren't used to in-your-face sex and all the details that go along with it. If you enjoy mild erotica, then this book is a perfect love story to read over a weekend. I enjoyed the entire series immensely and would recommend it highly to my very "hip" friends and family!

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

If you could sum up 11-22-63 in three words, what would they be?

    Stephen King Rocks!

What did you like best about this story?

Mr. King has a way with words. You feel connected to the story and the characters.

What does Craig Wasson bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?

Craig Wasson is an excellent reader. He keeps you wanting to listen until the entire book is finished!

    Any additional comments?

One of the best books I've listened to in a long time.

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.

"The Help" is one of the best stories I've listened to in years. I'm not quite sure why anyone would give it less than 5 stars in my opinion. The characters are wonderful and the storyline flows perfectly. This story will make you laugh out loud, cringe, cry, and cheer. I was on the edge of my seat many times wondering what would happen next! The narrators are exceptional. I'd recommend this story very highly and I'm looking forward to another novel by Kathryn Stockett.

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....

    "Spectacular!"
    Overall

Outlander is the first book in the most spectacular series I have ever read and listened to. Davina Porter is the perfect narrator for this series. The characters are like best friends. At Outlander's end, I was excited to find out that there were five more books in the series! Woo Hoo! The books are very hard to put down once you've started this series. Can't wait for book seven. Hurry up Diana-- I'm dying here! :-)

Tall, slender Violet Mathers is growing up in the Great Depression, which could just as well define her state of mind. Abandoned by her mother as a child, mistreated by her father, and teased by her schoolmates ("Hey, Olive Oyl, where's Popeye?"), the lonely girl finds solace in artistic pursuits. Only when she's hired by the town's sole feminist to work the night shift in the local thread factory does Violet come into her name, and bloom.

This book is quite different from Ms. Landvik's other stories, but I think it is one of her best. It will grab you from the beginning and keep you listening for hours. As the story moves back and forth in her life, you may find that you have many mixed opinions about the main character, Violet, but in the end you will cheer for her. Even a physically challenged, homely girl can have a charmed life! I loved this book and recommend it highly.
