I have not read a mystery for many years (Hardy Boys in High School), so I decided to get this one as a light summer read. The author's descriptions of Yosemite Valley and the surrounding mountians are impressive and accurate. As a frequent traveler to this area, I found the authors use of setting to be the most enjoyable aspect of the book. I will be considering more books by Nevada Barr.
I love this book so much, and have listened so many times, that I have started memorizing certain phrases. The narrator is able to capture the humor and awe that Bryson displays in his writing. Totally worth it.
