50 Prosperity Classics examines the great works of entrepreneurship, personal finance, investing, economics, and philanthropy. Applying the 50 Classics formula, it highlights the key titles in the literature of prosperity, giving concise summaries of each book's main points, how they came into being, and what each offers the listener on their path toward a life of abundance. This is a comprehensive resource for creating wealth, managing financial assets, and, finally, giving something back in return.

Before this one i had listened to 50 self-help classics, it was good, but this one was great!

While i did not enjoy all 50 there is atleast 50%-75% of books that i will be looking into further.

For those of you who have never done the 50 classics series it's like cliff-notes for 50 books in that genre.

I think one reason i liked this one so much:
    1. Great book selection
    2. Great info (notes) on the books
    3. Had some up-to-date books (in the year 2000's)

Overall if your looking to make more money and have prosperity in the future this is a GREAT place to start, make sure you have a note pad with you!

    Great work!
p.s. i'm now working on 50 Psychology classics

Many self-help books offer a lot of new age platitudes and sappy mantras: Just love yourself. See the glass as half full. Really? That’s not how it works, and you know it. A lifetime’s worth of struggle is not overturned in a small moment of positive thinking. But if you have the right attitude - attitude and skills - you can and will accomplish anything and everything you want. This book gives you both, attitude and action. By its end you will have all the tools you need to change your life. No hype. No false promises....

    Bottom line:
If your willing to put in the work this book is going to push you in the right direction.

Any time a book starts off by saying it's not your 'average self help book' you know your in for an average self help book with re-hashed info. This started that way and quickly changed, this isn't a book that you can read and get a few ideas from. You have to be willing to put in some work and after that you will find yourself in a better place. I will admit there are a few spots I glazed over, but overall I was quite impressed with the delivery and structure along with the exercises included.

Well worth the read, I actually bought the hard copy for my wife to read (she doesn't like audiobooks lol)

*I'm a real person who writes real reviews on the books I get, if you don't believe me, check out my other reviews :) Thanks for reading

  • Getting More: How to Negotiate to Achieve Your Goals in the Real World

Negotiation is part of every human encounter, and most of us do it badly. Whether dealing with family, a business or diplomacy, people often fail to meet their goals in every country and context. They focus on power and “win-win” instead of relationships and perceptions. They don’t find enough things to trade. They think others should be rational when they should be dealing with emotions.

Bottom line: this is a great book with REAL WORLD applications that can be used not just in negotiations but in ANY human interaction.

I wasn't sure about this book at first, but it had a lot of great reviews so I gave it a shot... I was first frustrated with the book because it would tease a lot of info or revisit points already covered and/or seemed 'obvious'.

Getting deeper in the book it started to make sense. A lot of the things this book covers seem pretty obvious but it works, I recently found this out:

I was having some major issues with a 'big bank' and they refused to reverse fees. After my wife spent over two days on the phone with them unsuccessful, I used some of the tactics in this book... took 15 minutes, and done -

I'm now looking at more opportunities to utilize this information. I've read at least 4 different books on negotiation and another 4 on persuasion along with my BA in psych etc; this is a great book with REAL WORLD applications that can be used not just in negotiations but in human interaction.

*You can read my many other reviews, I give my honest opinion of the books I get here - I would hope you do the same ;) Thanks for reading.

When i bought this i was under the impression it was un-abridged, (i like the other reviewer awaited 12:00 and bought it early in the morning maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me) after getting through about half of the audiobook i stopped by a book store to check out the hard cover... almost 600 pages, 2.9 pounds! to say that there is some things missing is an understatement for sure.

The narrator is a bit annoying but tolerable. There is some useful info in here but overall if you want the most from this book you are going to have to buy the actual hardcover and read it.

Three stars because of all the missing information

For the many people who are interested in learning more about Buddhism, here is a primer on Buddhism and Buddhist practice written in a deceptively simple manner, with an engaging, gentle humor and flavor. Adrienne Howley's purpose is to demystify Buddhism, stripping away the layers of ritual and iconography that have grown up around it over the centuries, and to present the original, basic tenets and practices.

What's the difference between you and Warren Buffett? Between you and your boss? Or between you and your successful neighbor? What do the financially comfortable have that you don't? It's not that those people were born into money, caught a lucky break, or have an Ivy League education. It's not even that they are smarter than you or make more money than you do each year. So what do they have that you don't...at least not yet?

I'm not really into "stats" but this book was interesting all the way through and I found plenty of gems.

I would suggest the UNABRIDGED version (I tend to get those when available).

If you liked Predictably Irrational (different Author and subject... but something feels "similar"), then you will like this one also.

Some great financial advice... small things can make a difference.

I heard this as a recommendation off a popular tech podcast - I've never been a great writer, however i could always get my point across.
Me personally, i'm a student of success, and who better to learn from than one of the greats?! Not a straight up, laid out, here is how i write well, try it and see what works... but it's weaved with his life story.

Overall great nuggets of gold scattered throughout, and entertaining the whole way through. I would have given it 4 1/2 stars only because at some points Steven reading sounds a little bit tired (not the whole way through just little parts) but if i had to choose 4 or 5 i went with 5 stars...

check it out and learn something.

I really wanted to like this book. I got this one because i plan on getting a car soon and i wanted an edge.

This book is more for people who negotiate for a living, and was not very helpful at all for what i was looking to do.

Although i did find two things useful, "anchoring" (the reason car dealers use MSRP), and contingency clause (not useful for the car but possibly useful for other negotiations)

The book is a little dry and i could only take it down in bite sizes (30 min here and there).

Overall there is some useful info for those Negotiation pros out there, but not really for the beginner or novice.

I was walking through the books store and this one called me out. I flipped through it and realized how dark and sinister it seemed, yet i felt the draw to check it out.

When i got home and saw it was on Audible i got it.

Let me say this... If history class had been more like this book, i would have LOVED IT! A lot of great info and the narration adds to the enthrallment.

One thing is for sure, power takes commitment.

    Great read, highly recommend.

I've always hated statistics, just not my thing. Going through college i realized how much it's actually used against us.

This book uses statistics but in a way that pulls you in. He makes statements, and then roll right into the study that BACKS UP what he is saying.

I found this book interesting the whole way through and a little humor here and there helped also.

Great start into how and why we do some of the things we do.
