I loved this so much that I had to continue reading the series. I can't wait for the 3rd book to come out so I can find out what happens! The narration was great and spot on!
The Virgin River series never disappoints and Plummer is an awesome narrator. You can tell which character is speaking, with tons of characters from the previous books making cameos, it is simply amazing the variety in her voice. Totally worth the credit!
The story moved along pretty slow at first, thankfully it picked up the pace as I almost lost interest. Although many don't care for Joyce Bean's narration, I like her a lot and have listened to many of the books she has narrated. She's easily distinguished between the characters which makes it easy imagine and follow along.
I got so annoyed with her mind, if that makes sense. Having a little hesitation is one thing, but honestly, the things that she got mad at him for, were NOT his fault! I mean seriously, how old are these characters supposed to be again??
She wouldn't have been so apprehensive and childish.
They did a wonderful job, as always. I purchased this book because they had teamed up to narrate it. Every other book they have done together I have enjoyed!
Sure, it got me through the long ride to work.
Yes, because there is so much going on, I probably missed something :)
The multiple viewpoints
He was great, you knew which character you were listening to
The family interactions
I love the series, I can't wait for the next one to come to Audible! When I want easy listening and a heart warming story, mixed with characters that I came to know, along with new ones, I reach for The Sullivans, EVERY TIME!!
She is wonderful for this series, I couldn't think of anyone else reading it.
I have read books 1-6 so far and I greatly enjoy them more and more. I love escaping to Virgin River and listening to the trials and tribulations of their everyday life and the troubles that come to them. Each book seems to introduce new characters, while still keeping in touch with the old one that I have grown to love. I highly recommend this series to everyone!
When Mel first arrived at the cabin in Virgin River. Laugh out Loud Funny!
Her performance is outstanding! The way she makes the difference voices for each character, and the banter between them, sometimes make me laugh out loud, it's like I am sitting right there watching the characters talk to each other!
When Mel was on her bed apologizing to her husband. So heart warming.
The story was good, slow moving in parts.
The performance was ok, I have heard better.
Probably not, but I could see it as an episode from Law and Order
Great story, exceptional characters, people that you can know and love.
Finding out who did it
The narrator was great at differentiating between the characters, he was enjoyable to listen to.
There were so many moments, I laughed out loud at times, it was an overall great story with mystery and romance.
My only complaint is the dumb music that fades in and out every so often...Other than that, Mary Stuart Masterson was Awesome, the story was Awesome and the ending a complete surprise!
I don't care to ever hear Filomena's voice again. Too nasal-y. Megan Hart has put out some good book, this one is not one of her best.
The storyline seemed to drag on, and on, and on. I listened to half of the book and couldn't continue.... it hadn't picked up yet!
Her voice, I found it hard to get into the characters.
