"A Wonderful Story"
This is such good listening that I quit because I don't want it to end. Listening is a reward, so I space it out. This is GREAT stuff!
"The Vatican Diaries"
An interesting listen, although I didn't always like what I heard. It is a miracle the Catholic Church has survived so many years; I imagine the Holy Spirit to have rolled his eyes more often than not.
"The Shifting Fog"
I love long, wandering stories that are well-read. Caroline Lee is wonderful, and the story is very nice. This is my second Kate Morton book, both having been read by Caroline Lee. Even though they are long, it's always sad when they end.
"No misery here!"
This book is absolutely wonderful! I watched the film long ago, and now want to see it again, but as usual, the book is far better, and I thought the film was excellent! I would recommend this but if you listen whilst attending to other things, be warned. You might not get anything done other than listening.
"I love secrets"
I enjoyed this listen. It went up and down and back and forth; kind of mindless but absorbing enough to give me something other than normal life to think about for a while. Eileen Goudge is very good at this sort of story.
"Quite a disappointment"
Terribly disappointing. I'd hoped for more stories, vignettes, but the L O N G and very boring sex scene with Marg was a waste of time. Trouble is, I doubt I'll try another Bryce Courtenay title. I should have left well enough alone and stopped with The Persimmon Tree, which was excellent.
