In the waning days of World War II, the Japanese tried a last desperate measure, a different kind of kamikaze mission, this one carried out by two submarines bound for the west coast of the United States, their cargo a revolutionary new strain of deadly virus.

    "Dreadful, boring, tedious, ugh."
    Overall

I bought this book after reading the other reviews and I have to wonder what book they thought they were reviewing. There are no suprises here. The villians are ugly and bad; the heros good, handsome, fearless, and witty; and the women are all sexy. This book's plot is one dimensional and the writing puerile. Don't waste your money like I did.

The Irish have always had a knack for telling wonderful stories, and their fantastic ability has been recognized from early Gaelic times. For centuries, stories of all kinds have been offered to friends and strangers alike as a form of entertainment and communication. Today in Ireland, the short story is revered even above the novel. Hearing these magnificent stories, we become aware of more than just the humor and travail of a small island.

    "An excellent audio book!"
    Overall

I have rented and purchased many audio books from many different sources over the years. This is one of my all time favorites. The writing is captivating; the narration is elegant; and the music and sound effects actually add to the production (unlike most sloppy attempts to which I've been subjected).

This is a book I will listen to many times.

With The Pieces of the Puzzle, Robert Stanek masterfully creates an intelligent thriller that weaves the excitement and intrigue of a sophisticated mystery with the fascinating secret world of international espionage. The leader of a special operations unit returns home after a mission gone terribly wrong to find himself a wanted man.

    Overall

The narration of this book is bad. Comprehension and enjoyment of the writing are tossed aside by the reader's cryptic style. This is an example of a good book with a truly bad reader.

Witty Wodehousess best-loved creation is the master-servant team of Bertie Wooster, the charming nitwit, and Jeeves, his effortlessly superior valet and protector. A good book; entertaining and interesting. Some say the author's voice is a little irritating, but I liked it. It was like having my niece read for me.
