Just a funny book. The ending is a bit too sweet but it is suppoed to be a light hearted book. The dialogue is fabulous- any scene with the main character's brother is funny. I thought the narrator was great. Just listen to the preview for a sample.

I really wanted to like this book but I just didn't care for the characters or the story. The story just kept repeating itself without really going anywhere. The story has time travel so the suspension of reality has to play a part but it was how the characters reacted to the time travel that rang untrue. I regret that I used a credit on it. I didn't even finish it even though there is only 1 hour left, I just don't really care what happens.

I originally read this book and recommended it to almost everyone I knew. I bought the audible version because it was on sale at one time and I wanted to spend time with the characters again. This book sparked an interest in the channel islands during WWII. The story is written in all letters. The audible version states who is writing to whom before the letter is read which makes it easy to follow. If you like books that are character driven then download this one.
