I really liked how Chris wove many favorite story tales into the main story. Good Job
I don't think authors should preform their own work. I love Chris Colfer as an actor, but his reading of the story had no character differentiation, no change in voice or inflection.
Kate Redding would have been a great choice for narrator.
Michael Beck does a great job of bringing the characters to life. The best thing about this story is you never really know what's going to happen next.
This story is only 5 hours and 31 minutes long, it cost 1 credit. I purchased the Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson, which is an outstanding story and is 45 hours and 37 minutes long, and frankly these 2 stories not in the same league with one another, and the cost was 1 credit.
Mr. Juliani did an excellent job with story. He was good at creating different voices for each character and could switch characters seamlessly
I really did enjoy hearing this story. I am just struggling with the price and buying the remaining 9 book for 1 credit each is more than I want to pay for what I'll be getting.
Ralph Cosham takes an amazing story and brings it to life. Mr. Cosham has become Inspector Gamche. This book has everything, suspense, intrigue, a great lead into the next book. I gave up sleep for this story!
All the twists and turns of the storyline. Something is always happening.
Anything by Mark Greane. Both of these authors write in a way that makes you anxious to get to the next page. It's like you can't read fast enough to learn whats going to happen next. They deal with totally different subject matters, but the style is intense and electrifying and if you were reading the book instead of listening to he story, you would call in sick the next only to finish the story!
I don't want to give away any of the story, but for me the last seen with Nina is my favorite only because it's the final "out of left field" twist to the story. In a way it's the cool-down for a hard run.
I have 2 favorites, Joel and Professor Fitch. Joel's inquisitive mind, logical mind and Professor Fitch gentle guidance make for an excellent student teacher relationship.
I think this book is one of Brandon Sanderson's best. Hopefully there will be some sequels. A Brandon Sanderson book read by anybody but Michael Kramer would not sound correct. His reading becomes the neutral soul of the story. I admit to being a great Brandon Sanderson fan, but something about this story appeals to me on a bunch of levels and I just really like it.
The best part about this book was, that it finally ended.
There was absolutely nothing to like about Michael McConnohie's performance. It was simply awful.
I'll not purchase another Michael Connelly book unless Len Cariou or Dick Hall are the performing artist.
I re-read the first 16 books before I listened to the knew one and I think its the best yet, although I find it VERY difficult to judge them.
Having a female narrator distracted from the story in my opinion.
ok, mechanical, oh-hum
Scott Brick, Dick Hill and Phill Gigante made this series of books come alive, especially Scot Brick.
Lots of excitement.
The last battle with the rats
The whole series follows together
Gregor and Luxa's goodby
