The year is 1364. Hungry creatures stalk the dark woods of medieval Europe, and both sea and sky teem with unspeakable horrors. There is no foulness, however, no witch nor demon, to rival the grave-robbing twins Hegel and Manfried Grossbart. This is their tale, sad but true.

Ambrose says: "Best Listen Since Eco's Baudolino"
"No fun, in a bad way"
    Overall

Unsympathetic, repulsive characters. The text doesn't flow and the narrative just seems to go nowhere. After a few minutes one looses interest. Tried several times, just cant listen to for long, gave up in the end

Five days after Owen Zastava Pitt pushed his insufferable boss out of a 14th story window, he woke up in the hospital with a scarred face, an unbelievable memory, and a job offer. It turns out that monsters are real. All the things from myth, legend, and B-movies are out there, waiting in the shadows. Some of them are evil, and some are just hungry. Monster Hunter International is the premier eradication company in the business. And now Owen is their newest recruit.

    Konstantin says: "Suprizingly entertaining"
    "Gory fun"
    Overall

Fast paced pulp fiction, filled to the brim with every satisfying B-movie monster-clich?? out there, good humor and great gory fun as legions of undead and interdimensional beings meet inventive, usually explosive, ends. For those interested, the book is peppered with gun-trivia. Mr Wyman does a good job narrating. At 23hrs its good value as well.

The Winter Queen of Faerie has manipulated Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden into accepting a case to solve a murder and stop a war between the courts of Summer and Winter that could have literally earth shattering consequences. His own soul is up for grabs. Dresden must dig deep to discover that at time a willingness to accept a little help from your friends, be they a cub pack of werewolves, old loves in sheep's clothing, or a battalion of pizza loving dewdrop fairies, is a very good thing.

Michael says: "Harry & James are one."
"Great books... but ease up on the DRM"
    Overall

A very entertaining fantasy which is well narrated by mr Marsters. However only the first four books are available for non-US downloads, apparently due to DRM-issues. Very frustrating!

English magicians were once the wonder of the known world, with fairy servants at their beck and call; they could command winds, mountains, and woods. But by the early 1800s they have long since lost the ability to perform magic. They can only write long, dull papers about it, while fairy servants are nothing but a fading memory.

    Tim says: "An awesome masterpiece"
"Entertaining and well read by mr. Prebble"
    Overall

This book is a fantasy set in an alternate version of our own universe during the napoleonic wars. It is essentially a study of a contrasting cast of characters (as the book's title implies immediately) and is plot-driven to a far lesser extent. That set aside, mr Prebble's performance deserves mention for it is excellent. All in all a very entertaining set of 30+ hours.

In I Am Legend, a plague has decimated the world, and those unfortunate enough to survive are transformed into blood-thirsty creatures of the night. Robert Neville is the last living man on earth. Everyone else has become a vampire, and they are all hungry for Neville's blood. By day, he stalks the sleeping undead, by night, he barricades himself in his home and prays for the dawn.

This auidioversion of I am Legend is well read and very enjoyable. The haunting loneliness is well conveyed. If you have just seen the movie I recommend the book, it's so much better.
