"Gory fun"
Fast paced pulp fiction, filled to the brim with every satisfying B-movie monster-clich?? out there, good humor and great gory fun as legions of undead and interdimensional beings meet inventive, usually explosive, ends. For those interested, the book is peppered with gun-trivia. Mr Wyman does a good job narrating. At 23hrs its good value as well.
"No fun, in a bad way"
Unsympathetic, repulsive characters. The text doesn't flow and the narrative just seems to go nowhere. After a few minutes one looses interest. Tried several times, just cant listen to for long, gave up in the end
"Great books... but ease up on the DRM"
A very entertaining fantasy which is well narrated by mr Marsters. However only the first four books are available for non-US downloads, apparently due to DRM-issues. Very frustrating!
"Entertaining and well read by mr. Prebble"
This book is a fantasy set in an alternate version of our own universe during the napoleonic wars. It is essentially a study of a contrasting cast of characters (as the book's title implies immediately) and is plot-driven to a far lesser extent. That set aside, mr Prebble's performance deserves mention for it is excellent. All in all a very entertaining set of 30+ hours.
"haunting"
This auidioversion of I am Legend is well read and very enjoyable. The haunting loneliness is well conveyed. If you have just seen the movie I recommend the book, it's so much better.
