He was very animate and informative.
WW I, "The Great War" is passing out of living memory, and it is important that it should be studied and it's lessons preserved.
Very good telling of the classic story. A must for young readers. One of my all time favorites.
Maybe the best of the 4 Project Nemesis books, though they are all good.
I would have liked to see a little more of the character Lily, but I guess it wasn't really her story.
Listen to the sample before buying this book. I hate to say it, but I really didn't like the narrator's style.
Not as good as "Confessions" and obviously setting up a sequel, but it is nice to see the gang back together.
I am a big fan of Mr. Bryson's work, and it is my opinion that this is one of his best. I can't say what an Australian listener might think of it, but never having been to the country myself, I was fascinated.
This audio book is entertaining. The characters are likeable, the setting - a supernaturally charged New Orleans - is interesting, and the reading is well performed.
Both the book and the movie are offbeat, funny, and full of memorable characters. I did not expect this take on the zombie apocalypse to be so great. Now I hope the author or other writers continue to write stories in this vein.
It's good. The sound editor should have cleaned it up a bit more though.
You might find it interesting to know that the creature mentioned in this story is thought by many to be a sort of vampire, but that not everyone agrees. Certainly, it is more mysterious than romantic. I am a big fan of M.R.James, and this is my favorite story of his.
If you are a fan of British Comedy, you will like this. My only complaint is that it is short, and there don't seem to be any sequels.
