the author has done so much research on the subject of the kings and the prophets and it was so enlightening to me to understand how God worked among His people and led them according to their obedience to Him. i highly recommend this book - it is a real page turner - one of the best books I have read in a long, long time.

Here is a soul-stirring story of two college friends who reconnect after 20 years. One is living life apart from God, in comfortable corporate America; the other is living for Christ under intense persecution in China. This challenging book will convince readers to live in the light of eternity.

In a first century Jerusalem seething with turmoil, religious and political leaders eye the burgeoning Christian community with suspicion. While a Hebrew merchant and a Roman soldier vie for the hand of a lovely follower of Christ, she finds her heart drawn to another whose tireless care and unflinching faith shine daily.

In the compelling conclusion to the New York Times best-seller Her Mother’s Hope, Christy Award-winning author Francine Rivers explores the sorrow that can tear families apart and the grace that can heal the deepest wounds. Just as Carolyn had formed a stronger bond with her Oma Marta than with her mother, so Carolyn’s daughter is drawn to her grandma more than to a mom who’s caught up in the 1960s counterculture....

There really is more to this life than you've been told. Since day one we've been urged to look out for number one. And since day one we've believed the lie, "It's all about me." Max Lucado sets our sights elsewhere: points us upward, and shows us how much our lives and relationships would change if we all took our place and played our parts. He'll show you how to bump your life off self-center and how to experience the life of purpose you were meant to have.

tHIS BOOK IS A GOOD FICTION STORY, BUT NOTHING ELSE.
I DON'T UNDERSTAND ALL THE HYPE IT HAS CAUSED. ALTHOUGH IT WAS WELL WRITTEN AND WELL READ. THE CONTENT WAS TOO CONTROVERSIAL TO BE COMFORTABLE.
THE ISSUE OF FORGIVENESS WAS DEALT WITH VERY WELL.

AS USUAL, JOHN GIRSHAM KEPT ME INTERESTED FROM BEGINNING TO END. THIS BOOK WENT IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION FROM HIS OTHER BOOKS, MAINLY because he included the church with its controversies, which I appareciated. IT ALSO LEFT YOU THINKING OF THE RIGHT AND THE WRONG OF MAN'S ACTIONS. A VERY GOOD BOOK.
