I like mostly non fiction but not self improving. I like history novels and some times a good fiction novel

Bill Bryson has been an enormously popular author both for his travel books and for his books on the English language. Now, this beloved comic genius turns his attention to science. Although he doesn't know anything about the subject (at first), he is eager to learn, and takes information that he gets from the world's leading experts and explains it to us in a way that makes it exciting and relevant.

It is a good book for learning basic science in different areas all together. I enjoyed the parts about space and the cosmos the most, probably because most of it was new knowledge for me. Narration is excellent. If you liked The Magic of Reality by Richard Dawkins, you'll like this book as well.

Nando Parrado was unconscious for three days before he woke to discover that the plane carrying his rugby team, as well as their family members and supporters, to an exhibition game in Chile had crashed somewhere deep in the Andes. He soon learned that many were dead or dying, among them his own mother and sister. Those who remained were stranded on a lifeless glacier at nearly 12,000 feet above sea level, with no supplies and no means of summoning help.

This one is as good as non fiction can get. You will not put it down until you get to the last page. One of the best audio books of my collection
