"too boring to listen to"
I just could not engage with the reader's voice. I think this is one that is better read than listened to.
"very good but drags on"
I like the story and enjoyed Victor LaValle's reading of it, but I think further edititing would enhance it -- too long, slow moving in the latter 1/3rd of the story
"this abridged version is too abridged!"
I like this, but I found the abridged reading to be lacking -- too much of a superficial survey, which left me wanting the "meat", not just this appetizer.
"very helpful and good listening"
This was very engaging. I did not find the reader's voice unappealing, in fact I found him just right for the text. The content is very helpful and actionable. I ended up purchasing the physical book so that I could continue to more easily use it as an ongoing guide to the ideas presented.
"Wonderful"
A great novelized version of Macbeth. As the author notes in the afterward, this version is just that -- a novelized version. Well worth listening to, the reader's voices and cadence are right on.
"well worth it"
Great story, I listened to it with my 12 year old daughter. I liked it better than she did, but it's a good listen on a long car ride.
"boring for a non-physics person"
I could not make it through this audiobook. I think I might have liked to READ this, but not listen -- way too boring.
"Great but very sad"
This was an excellent listen, but as others have said, VERY sad, often leaving me with a blue feeling after listening. But the dog, Enzo, his voice and perspective make it worthwhile. This would not be good for kids, or maybe even younger teens.
