"Not a great listen"
I bought this for my tween girls to listen to on a long driving trip. They weren't that interested, but I went ahead and listened to it--as well as I could. Unlike most of the audio books I've downloaded, this one was extremely difficult to hear over normal road noise. If you want to listen to this book's reader on the road, plan on using headphones.
Also, I hate to sound "politically correct", but I was pretty offended in this respect: All the "good people" were beautiful/handsome and all the "bad people" were plain/ugly. Yeah, I know, it was a characteristic of writing back when these books first came out. I can't help it, it bothers me.5 of 16 people found this review helpful
