"very odd but original"
Harlan reads his own work and that's always good. He always sounds a little unstable to me but it's a good kind of unstable if there is such a thing. It's a prickly kind of fun.
"a book lovers dream"
Wow, this book was so good that when I finished it I started it up the next day and enjoyed it a second time.
"Still Missing"
This book focuses solely on the awful abuse of the victim, without developing attachment to the victim, enough to make you sick and have nightmares. Awful, awful, awful
"cool story"
good story with a top-notch cast. I loved the voices of the Doctor and the dead guy.
"great as always"
The story is a fun version of the phantom of the opera and Nigel Planer is a fantastic narrator. It's not a reading it is a great performance of a funny story.
"fun series"
Lori Petty is perfect for these first 3 books. I wish she did them all.
"awful narrator"
the story is OK but I didn't care for the cheap shots at our military. comparing them to nazis and saying young people that join " haven't got a brain in their heads" even fox news had to get spit on for no reason that had to do with the story. The narrator is not the worst. That title still goes to scott brick, but this guy is a close second. He makes every person, man, woman, nun, whatever all sound like the creepy teacher on south park, mr garrison. Until it devolves to a point that even the narration it's self sounds like a south park parody. But if you like that kind of stuff you might like it. I did not. It could of been pretty good.
"what a joy"
What a great story. It was fun from the start to the end. David Warner was a great narrator. I hope he reads more books for audible.
"How bad can a book be?"
I have 125 audiobooks from audible and have to tell you, this is by far the worst. I've been disappointed in books before but never like this. It's mindless babble. This is not writing, it's typing. Wish I had my money back. Don't waste yours.
