  • The Body Fat Solution: Five Principles for Burning Fat, Building Lean Muscle, Ending Emotional Eating, and Maintaining Your Perfect Weight

    • UNABRIDGED (10 hrs and 4 mins)
    • By Tom Venuto
    • Narrated By L. J. Ganser
    Overall

    Performance
    (157)
    Story
    (157)

The Body Fat Solution is neither super low carb nor super low fat, and the author steers clear of demonizing entire food groups. Instead, Venuto shows you how to personalize an eating plan that takes into account your unique metabolism and calorie needs. He details the stumbling blocks we all face to success, and gives you the tools to overcome them.

David says: "The Most Sensible "Diet" Book Ever"
"Excellent information - for a life long solution"
    Overall

Excellent book with a tremendous amount of quotes, tips, and techniques to battle the age old question concerning fat loss. For me, the book had so many great tips and quotes that I purchased a used copy of the physical book on Amazon to reference quickly in my study.

My only complaint is when the reader is going through the exercise types, they become a little 'boring'. I am not sure which way would be better to read this information but without the physical copy, this list was tough to follow.

Fortunately, when things look the darkest - a mysterious man named Jones has a miraculous way of showing up.

"On my top ten recommended books to read"
    Overall

Andy Andrews is one of my favorite authors and this is one of his best books. Why? For me, it brought all the other books together and helped me understand the why behind his other books.

This is a classic and is on my top ten books to read - Right up there with QBQ, Dave Ramsey's books, Dan Miller's books, and everything by Zig Ziglar.

The 4 Hour Work Week explains what a lifestyle entrepreneur is and why you should want to become one. It teaches you how to "kill" your job and design a life, the 80/20 rule and how it increases productivity, how to replace your dreams with goals, and more. Listeners can lead a rich life by working only four hours a week, freeing up the rest of their time to spend it living the lives they want.

Tim says: "Some good ideas but, not so sure. . ."
    "Listener Beware"
    Overall

First, the book should have an R rating for the language and some statements within the book. It is not a book you want to listen to when your young kids/gkids are in the area.

I recommend the book with reservation for this main reason. I would have given it a 4 star if the language was 'tame'.

If the listener keeps this in mind, then there is a great chance they will be able to receive very valuable information that will help them in their pursuit of a balanced life.

I disagree with Tim's statement about only reading entertainment books or only the informational books like his or the few he states at the end of the book. Many individuals enjoy learning or need to retool their skills for their 'job' or craft.

Again, there are many valuable tips and quotes in the book which caused me to order a used copy of the printed edition for my library.

    Juan says: "Great Inspirational book"
"Try Joel's advice for 30 days"
    Overall

I enjoyed this book much more than his first book. I recommend this book to everyone and after listening to it, try his suggestions for at least thirty days and I would be shocked if you did not notice a difference in your life.

Joel outlines many different steps and supports them with Biblical based examples as well as examples from his own life.

It is well worth the money and time invested in listening to the book.

Visionary entrepreneur Daniel Nissanoff breaks the news that the eBay auction phenomenon is about to revolutionize how all consumers do their shopping, not only online, but offline as well. The big payoff of this revolution is that consumers will be able to "trade up" by embracing a new norm of temporary ownership. We'll be transformed from an "accumulation nation" into an "auction culture".

An interesting topic. I am a frequent "ebayer" and definately learned a few items from the book that I will be able to use as I go forward using ebay. The book is a little long winded but I believe worth the time to listen.
