Exciting, Funny, Delightful
Adrian Ivashkov of course. He's funny, sexy, witty, romantic and just seems like he'd be the perfect boyfriend. I used to be a devoted girlfriend…. Now I am forever mentally dating Adrian Ivashkov.
The voices (accents) add to it. It better allows you to picture the characters and bring them to life.
I’ve been waiting for this book for sooooo long! With the way it ended I’m so frustrated that I have to wait for the next one! Aaagggghhhh! Pure torture!!!!!
Words cannot express how much I love the VA series and now the Bloodlines series!
Why would anyone ever answer no to this?
The ending. It was so intense and emotional.
Syndey, of course. 2nd fave would have to be Angeline.
I was disappointed in the narration for Adrian's POV. Where was the accent? Adrian is supposed to have an accent!
I love all the witty banter between Adrian and Syndey. They are just too cute of a couple for words.
Hate hate hate Zoe! Seriously, somebody needs to punch that girl in that face.
If Eddie and Jill don’t get together by the end of the series I will go bat-s@@t crazy!
Angeline is a hot mess and I love her. I love reading about all the trouble she gets herself into.
There were a few VA reunion moments in this book—Very much appreciated! It was nice to revisit with old, beloved characters.
I love that Mead did this one from both characters POV’s. It was so fun being inside of Adrian’s head.
The ending was intense and I’m still crying over it.
Ummmm no. I bought it on sale, otherwise I wouldn't have read it.
Very well narrated
You will puke.
Short, creepy and extremely twisted. I hated that I liked it because it was way too disgusting!
Absolutely! It was very intense and intriguing.
Due replayed scenes from different perspectives and only revealed pertinent information at the right/best moments. Her story telling made it so you couldn’t put the book down!
Angela Toussaint, of course.
You think you know, but you have no idea.
The ending was kind of like cheating… but I was very happy with it. I think it ended the way it needed to.
Shout out to Robin Miles, the narrator for the audiobook. She did an excellent job!
Molly Harper, you never disappoint me! Sexy, fun, hilarious and intriguing!
Molly Harper's sense of humor of course!
The narration was pretty good.
Shades of Gray was decent but not great.
I really didn’t care for Out With a Fang at all.
If it wasn’t for Undead Sublet I wouldn’t have like this audiobook at all.
Intense, emotional, epic
Well duh, BDB of course!
Eric Dove, you could read the phone book and I would listen!
All of the above!
Wow! J.R. Ward NEVER disappoints! Fallen Angel’s series is really stepping it up a notch!
I just can’t get enough of Devina. The devil has OCD issues… who knew?!!! I can’t tell you how much I am in love with the fact that Devina has OCD. It’s hysterical! I can’t get enough of Jim and Adrian giving her hell (pun intended). I love hating Devina.
Jim. Oh my sweet lovely Jim. How I wish I was your Sissy! I can’t wait to see how Sissy and Jim’s relationship grows. I’ve seen numerous readers complain about the age difference. But seriously, Sissy is of legal age and has been in hell. So she’s probably like 30-35 as far as maturity. And either way, she’s legal. Mark my words: Jim and Sissy’s love story is going to be epic! But Jim, you need to get your s*** together because the team needs you!
I can’t wait to see what happens with Adrian in future stories. He is a true friend to Jim and Sissy. I’m glad he’s able to still be supportive after losing Eddie.
The ending left me feeling unfulfilled but that’s what happens in a series. Each book gets more and more intense and I’m thoroughly enjoying this emotional rollercoaster that Ward has put us on!
Shout out to Eric Dove, the narrator for the audiobook version. You could read the phone book and I would listen!
I thought it was very sexy.
He is a great narrator however I didn't care for him narrating this romance novel. It just didn't seem to fit. But that's just my opinion. I loved the sound of his voice tho and think he would do great in another genre, like maybe a mystery novel or horror.
No, not really. It was a great romance novel tho.
Not the top of my list but still a really good listen and worth the credit.
Henry's character. Clare's characters just sounded like a little girl no matter what age she was.
"Here's everything I eat while waiting for my husband"
I really enjoyed this book but there were a couple of things that distracted from the good story.
Why describe every single meal down to the smallest detail? Seriously, there was SO much of it that it was ridiculous. At times it read like a menu. Seriously pointless.
And there is too much “name dropping” with bands. Was this a love story or a music novel?
I did enjoy that the story was told from both characters points of view. I wish there would’ve been more about Alba though. I was happy yet disappointed with the ending. If you read the book you will understand why I say this.
I don't know how to review this one. I loved it and cried at the end. But there was an excessive amount of useless information that could've been left out and takes at least 1 star away from the rating.
This is a must-read if you love mystery/psychological thrillers
It’s hard to review this book without revealing any big plot twists. Bottom line though is French knew how to get your mind and heart twisted with emotions along with her characters.
The ending. (last couple of chapters) I can't really explain it though without giving away spoilers.
To quote the main character: "What I am telling you, before you begin my story, is this - two things: I crave truth. And I lie."
A psychological mind-f*** disguised as a murder mystery. If you like books that leave you feeling warm and fuzzy at the end you should not read this book. This isn’t a feel good read.An hour into the audiobook I was hooked. Ryan and Cassie were lovable right from the start. I love their sarcasm and quick wit. This book was so beautifully written, I felt as if I knew the characters personally. Tana French described these characters so deeply and intimately that I easily became emotionally invested in them. This book would not have been as strong as it was without the intense feelings for the characters. It’s hard to review this book without revealing any big plot twists. Bottom line though is French knew how to get your mind and heart twisted with emotions along with her characters. There’s not too much closure at the end but that adds to the creepy and eerie mood of the book. This is a must-read if you love mystery/psychological thrillers. I will definitely be continuing with this series!
YEEESSSS!!!! This book was “Alice in Wonderland” meets “Labyrinth” meets “Percy Jackson”. In other words, it was GREAT! I was sucked in from the very beginning! There was so much action and adventure that I wanted to listen to this audiobook all in one sitting, and would have if time would have permitted. The characters, concepts and the Nevernever World were completely mesmerizing.
It's a 3way tie -- Meghan was such a wonderful character and I loved watching her come into her own. She grew up and gained so much strength and independence. It was very refreshing as I hate weak women in books. I love her selflessness.
I love Puck’s bluntness and sense of humor as well as the fact that he’s always there for Meghan. What a whimsical character! "Will it be dangerous?" "Oh, extremely. That's what makes it fun. You can die in so many interesting ways - skewered on a glass sword, dragged underwater and eaten by a kelpie, turned into a spider or a rosebush, for all time."
Ash is your typical male character (good-looking) from every fantasy book. The brooding hot guy with vulnerabilities. And ooooo I am happy about it! I was never quite sure if he was going to kill Meghan or kiss her! Epic kiss scene btw.
I loved her voices of all the different creatures. She did a fantastic job!!!
Whenever I think of Ash and Puck fighting all I can picture is the scene from 21 Jump Street – “Have some fairy dust, b****!” LOL
I still haven’t figured out yet if I’m Team Puck or Team Ash.
Now onto the 2nd book!
Idk... it just needs more. I'm not sure what it is exactly that it's missing, but it's def missing something.
Maybe more action?
Probably. I think she did well for a YA book.
It was an enjoyable audiobook to listen to at work.
Not sure what to say about this one. It was good. Not great, but good. I enjoyed it, but it's not a book that I would tell anyone "Oooo you HAVE to read this one now." I've heard the 2nd book is better so I guess I'll read that one soon.
