A page turner!
I'd compare his writing to Turow.
This book is a fabulous first by a new author. It was compelling in a legal thriller type way with quite a personal twist. The narrator was excellent and his pace was great too.
Fresh. Ingenious. Engaging.
The integrity of each and every character held. People didn't change suddenly to suit the storyline. The storyline weaved around the characters and who they were
The scene in the grass at the end.
Mostly how touchingly everybody grew together, and towards the end grew together for the love of the little girl Emily.
The author, one of my personal favorites, did an amazing job of conveying both integrity in the characters & in the integrity of her storyline. I found myself deeply caring about most all of these characters. It was an excellent book.
The dual story line was masterful.
Rose Connolly. Her character and strength were solid. I also liked Julia.
Not that I know of.
I really enjoyed this dual story line and it was very educational in a few ways ... Historical.
Great writing by Tess Gerritsen. Extraordinary!!!
