When a murder disrupts the Irish vacation she is taking with her husband, Roarke, Eve realizes that no place is safe - not an Irish wood or the streets of the manic city she calls home. But nothing prepares her for what she discovers upon her return to the cop shop in New York City....

MJ says: "Good story, great Eve/Roarke relationship"
"same plot as a earlier book in the series"

While i enjoy all of the In Death books and hope to have them all as audio books i would not have purchased this one if i had read it first. Not that by itself it is not a good book, it is just to much like an earlier book in the series. Been there, read it & listened to it already.

Angels are falling from the sky in New York, struck down by a vicious, unknown force. Vampires are dying impossibly of disease. Guild hunter Elena Deveraux and the Archangel Raphael must discover the source of the wave of death before it engulfs their city and their people, leaving New York in ruin and Raphael's Tower under siege by enemy archangels. Yet even as they fight desperately to save the city, an even darker force is stirring, its chill eyes trained on New York . . . and on Raphael.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. It is a good installment in the series. I would recommend that you read or listen to the books in order. Otherwise you don't get the full story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Raphael is my favorite because he is so Alpha but shows his love for Elena in so many ways.

What about Justine Eyre’s performance did you like?

Smooth narration, she flows from one person to the next without it sounding disjointed and she is very consistant.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but i didn't have the time so i ended up listing to it over three days.

    Any additional comments?

I love all of Nalini Singh"s books. She has not let me down yet.
