The construction of the world's first truly accurate clock starts a race against, well, time. For if the perfect clock starts ticking, Time, as we know it, will stop. And then the trouble will really begin. Subtle, sly, thought-provoking, and hilarious, Thief of Time is Terry Pratchett at his best. "This delightful production keeps the listener spellbound," says AudioFile.

GoryDetails says: "Good story, but multiple readers were distracting"
    "Very poor production"

I have nearly all of Terry Prachett and by far this was the worst narration by far!!! Stephen Briggs is number one. The characters were wrong the accents were terrible. What on earth made them do this. Prachett fans beware!

Alive with incident and insight, presenting with rare scope and intimacy the complex relations among nineteenth-century traders, immigrants, and Native Americans, A Sudden Country is, above all, a heroic and unforgettable story of love and loss, sacrifice and understanding.

    Jennifer Hall says: "Eloquent simplicity"
    "Dull, Flat, Waste of time"

I bought this book as it sounded so interesting but it was so slow ( I had to speed up the recording) The narration was especially poor. It might have been better if the narrator had had some emotion in her voice but it was flat flat flat!!!! I really tried to keep it going but in the end I had to give up, what a waste of money.
