Hi! I love listening to and playing music, listening to audio books, videogames and long walks on a beach. :)

Before she went to join Sam and Mogget downstairs, Lirael paused for a moment to look at herself in the tall silver mirror that hung on the wall of her room. The image that faced her bore little resemblance to the Second Assistant Librarian of the Clayr. She saw a warlike and grim young woman, dark hair bound back with a silver cord rather than hanging free to disguise her face. She no longer wore her librarian's waistcoat, and she had a long Nehima at her side rather than a library-issue dagger.

Would you consider the audio edition of Abhorsen to be better than the print version?

I personally love audio books! So in my opinion, the audio version is much better. When I'm cleaning, driving, at work with only so much to do, I can have my book playing! So while my hands are preoccupied with mindless tasks, my mind can still be stimulated!

Who was your favorite character and why?

As I said in a before review, the disreputable dog HAS to be my favorite! ESPECIALLY at the end. Get ready, its a crazy ride.

What about Tim Curry’s performance did you like?

What I do like is that he brings each character to life in his own way! You know and love Tim Curry, so sometimes it can be weird to hear him do voices, but you forget that and get lost in his oh so unique story telling!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, the end. The VERY end! So touching and...ok, you have to read this book. Go click buy. I'll wait here.

    Any additional comments?

Phenomenal ending to a phenomenal series!

For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Then, when hope was so long lost that not even its memory remained, a terribly scarred, heart-broken half-Skaa rediscovered it in the depths of the Lord Ruler's most hellish prison.

What made the experience of listening to The Final Empire the most enjoyable?

The characters! There are so many personalities and beliefs being thrown around that it gets you very interested!

Who was your favorite character and why?

In this, I must admit to like Vin/Lady Valet the most. She is having all this internal conflict that you can almost feel yourself! She is brave and clever and just amazing!

What does Michael Kramer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The voice acting! He makes each character have its own way of speaking and the air they all have separates them from everyone else! Its so well done, you can almost tell the different accents from all over the dominances! He did such a great job, I could swear he has a type of schizophrenia!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Kelsier makes his.. "final move"..i was effectively stunned. The graphic wording was amazingly appropriate and great.

The impossible has been accomplished. The Lord Ruler - the man who claimed to be god incarnate and brutally ruled the world for a thousand years - has been vanquished. But Kelsier, the hero who masterminded that triumph, is dead too, and now the awesome task of building a new world has been left to his young protégé, Vin, the former street urchin who is now the most powerful Mistborn in the land, and to the idealistic young nobleman she loves.

Where does The Well of Ascension rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

As much as I love the entire Abhorsen trilogy, so far, this is DEFINITELY at the to of my list! Just when you think you have something figured out, your mind is flipped over and you can't help but say, "Bu..but! NO!!!" D:

What other book might you compare The Well of Ascension to and why?

Obviously this is very similar to Brandon Sanderson's many other books. He has many that are of an alternate, yet coexisting, universe/storyline!

Which character – as performed by Michael Kramer – was your favorite?

Though Vin and Oreseur are VERY strong characters that I really love, I have to admit that I have taken a very big liking to Breeze. So much more th.n he seems in the first book. Though I liked him in that as well, he just has so much more to him in this book!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

A witty-romantic comedy of course!! Naturally I'm joking. Its a striking and powerful movie about lost religion, a never ending siege, and above all, the hope for a brighter future!

  • Lirael: Daughter of the Clayr

Lirael has never felt like a true daughter of the Clayr. Abandoned by her mother, ignorant of her father's identity, Lirael resembles no one else in her large extended family living in the Clayr's glacier. She doesn't even have the Sight, the ability to See into the present and possibly futures, that is the very birthright of the Clayr.

Would you listen to Lirael again? Why?

I would DEFINITELY listen to this book again! I'm so glad its now in my library and at my finger tips! It is a thrilling book and VERY well written.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Of course the disreputable dog! She was amazing and her sardonic remarks, almost caustic at times, make me laugh. Not to mention the great relationship she has with Lirael!

Which character – as performed by Tim Curry – was your favorite?

When it comes to characters by Tim's imagination, naturally I choose Mogget! I feel, not only did he have the voice right, but the over all attitude as well.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

After having read all 3 books, its hard to distinguish which event took place in which books! But I do know, there were MANY times I was taken aback by an unforeseen event!

    Any additional comments?

This is a great book, a must have for any fan of fantasy and good characters!
