Jack London's classic adventure story about the friendship developed between a Yukon gold hunter and the mixed dog-wolf he rescues from the hands of a man who mistreats him. White Fang is a companion novel and thematic mirror to London's best-known work, The Call of the Wild.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. Great story, well written, good pace and well narrated. A worthy read!

What did you like best about this story?

I wasn't quite sure of what to expect before starting. Soon after starting it was clear that it was something very good. In my opinion, an excellent story, very well told. I was "hooked" till the end.

Would you try another book from Suzanne Collins and/or Carolyn McCormick?

Yes, definitely. The trilogy was excellent, though I was expecting a lot more of this last part.

If you’ve listened to books by Suzanne Collins before, how does this one compare?

I only listened to the others from this series. An excellent story that was very interesting and exciting for the first 2 parts... and rather.. slow paced and somewhat boring on the final part.

What did you love best about Catching Fire?

An exciting and somewhat different story, full of twists, well written and well narrated.

What did you like best about this story?

The story itself. It will keep you listening until the end.

What does Carolyn McCormick bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I liked how simple, but effective, style she used. It adds a bit to each of the characters without exaggerating it. I read a few comments before I got the book and the main complain was about the narrator... I disagree, she did a good job!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Catching Fire is the most appropriate, because it is subtle and precise without disclosing much about what will happen. Can't think of a better one..

    Any additional comments?

If you liked the first book, you'll like this one even more.

  • A Tale of Two Cities [Tantor]

A Tale of Two Cities is one of Charles Dickens's most exciting novels. Set against the backdrop of the French Revolution, it tells the story of a family threatened by the terrible events of the past. Doctor Manette was wrongly imprisoned in the Bastille for 18 years without trial by the aristocratic authorities.

Would you try another book from Charles Dickens and/or Simon Vance?

Sure, at least one more. One boring book doesn't make all others boring as well... though if the next will be boring too.. then I guess Charles is out. About Simon.. won't be quite excited about it.. but if I want to read that book, the fact that he narrates it won't stop me.

Has A Tale of Two Cities turned you off from other books in this genre?

    No.

Would you be willing to try another one of Simon Vance’s performances?

    No.

What character would you cut from A Tale of Two Cities?

It felt so unappealing story that.. better not say anything.

    Any additional comments?

No. I already wrote too much for what this book is worth of..
