This was an ok listen. It pays to listen to the previous Dresden books, but I am a bit leary of how much more Harry gets into the worlds of fairies, and other fantasy type characters. The original book dealt with magic and kept Harry in our realm. If you have listened to the other 3, this one is a worthy followup.

Yup, the previous 3 Dresden books

Ok, I almost gave up on this one. The performance at the beginning could not be more monotone than it was. I don't know what happened in the production, but holy cow, it was a rough start, but after that, well worth it.

A really good terrorist story with the plot unlike many I have read or heard. Some have said Dewey is like Mitch Rapp. I could see the similarities, but boy, hard to beat the Rapp character. For all the Mitch Rapp books, however, I think the plot in this one is every bit as good as any Mitch Rapp storyline. Give it a tumble, you won't be disappointed!

Having spent over 70 hours over the last two books, I really don't know that I got anywhere. Oh sure, some of the main characters are killed off, but really, where are we left at the end? I know I am going against the trend here, but this is nothing more than a fantasy soap opera!

And sorry, I vested quite a bit of emotion into the Starks, and for over 70 hours, they are no better off and in fact, are worse off. Nope, this one kills it for me. Time to move on.

I love Roy's performance. It is one of the reason's I am not going any further. He doesn't do book for and in book 5 all of his characters voices are different.

entertaining, timely, fun

Haven't listened to a Clancy book in a while, but it wasn't too far off from his other works.

Did a great job. Always a bit hesitant when actors read books, but Lou did a great job.

NOPE!

looks like Clancy / Telep are developing a new character. Look, if you are looking for literature, I guess, this isn't it! This is fun, tense and while I was a bit put off by Weber, his narration got better as the book went on.

Boy, I really didn't want to use a credit for this book. Nothing but women, a story about women. I just came off "Hour Game", "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest", and "Unbroken". Some tough stuff. Why would I want to listen to a story about maids in the south, during the 60's. Well, the voice actors are wonderful. The book is wonderful, and you really would be selling yourself short to not give this a listen. Set aside the machismo, and enrich your life by listening to this superb story. Now I can't wait for the movie (though, there is NO way it will be as good as this audio book).

I am literally beyond myself in how much I admire the brave men and women who serve our country. While some may take Mr. Luttrells rants against the liberal media lightly, consider the movies Hollywood has thrown at us over the last decade. Most paint our brave men and women as rapists, murderers, etc. Let us not forget GENERAL BETRAYUS! The greatest military movie of the last 2 decades (Black Hawk Down)is similar to this. This would make for great Hollywood drama, but in todays climate, I very much doubt Hollywood wants to promote true heroism. My thanks and sympathies go to the families that lost their loved ones in this operation. Thank God Mr. Luttrell lived to tell the tale. I thank him for his service.
