Ben Holiday, High Lord of the magic kingdom of Landover, and his wife Willow have sent their 15-year-old daughter Mistaya to our world to attend a prestigious girls' boarding school. Mistaya--Misty to her friends--is not pleased with the arrangement. She is forbidden to use her magic for any reason, can't understand why other girls her own age don't revere the natural world, and is too clever for her own good in coming up with activities definitely not contained in the private school charter.

Would you listen to A Princess of Landover again? Why?

Yeah but in a few years when i redo the series. I love it.

What other book might you compare A Princess of Landover to and why?

Any of the previous landover books. Has a little mystery, intrigue, and suspense.

What about Dick Hill’s performance did you like?

Dick was great, He's done all the Landover books and has it it down pat. I originally read these in print and he really brought the characters to life. Well done voices for all the characters. Made it enjoyable.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    No not really.

    Any additional comments?

A previous reviewer stated that the narrator ruined this book. It couldn't be farther from the truth. This was one of the best narrators I've had the pleasure of listening to.

    F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic American novel of the Roaring Twenties is beloved by generations of readers and stands as his crowning work. This new audio edition, authorized by the Fitzgerald estate, is narrated by Oscar-nominated actor Jake Gyllenhaal (Brokeback Mountain). Gyllenhaal's performance is a faithful delivery in the voice of Nick Carraway, the Midwesterner turned New York bond salesman, who rents a small house next door to the mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby....

What did you like best about The Great Gatsby? What did you like least?

Best: It was not to long, Least: Even though its an old book this story premiss was tired from the beginning.

Has The Great Gatsby turned you off from other books in this genre?

    Naw I like classics.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Jake Gyllenhaal?

    Probably

Do you think The Great Gatsby needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

NO! The tragic ending won't allow it.

    Any additional comments?

Never really understood what was so GREAT about Gatsby. I know people will be annoyed by that statement. If he was great cause he was a self made man, that's really lost in this weak plot. It just feels like some took a movie script and made a book outta it. I have never watched and of the previous Great Gatsby movies but maybe i should watch the new one with Leonardo in it.
