A quiet horror engulfs the reader as the plot matures. Even though you can see the basic story unfolding nearly from the beginning, there are twists that keep you listening to the end.
every single person and every single relationship in the book is pathetic. How can an entire town be this sad and dreary?
Make people more three-dimensional. JKR has the wonderful power to paint a picture with words. Here she used it to paint the entire town in pale grey.
If anyone really feels they need to read the book because of the Author's name, I strongly recommend borrowing it from the library or from some poor sap who already wasted their money.
First Considered 3 stars, but as the weeks go by, I find myself ruminating on the story at odd moments. Definitely an author to keep my eye on.
Sucked in from the beginning! Sci-Fi isn't my favorite genre, but I will definitely read more of Brandon Sanderson's books.
Somehow this plot just didn't keep my interest as much as I had expected it to.
