From the voice of a generation: the most highly anticipated autobiography of the year, and the story of a man who wanted The Who to be called The Hair; wanted to be a sculptor, a journalist, a dancer and a graphic designer; became a musician, composer, librettist, fiction writer, literary editor, sailor; drank too much and nearly died; detached from his body in an airplane, on LSD, and nearly died; planned to write his memoir when he was 21; and published this book at 67.

Welcome to the relationship revolution! Making Marriage Simple is the accessible, essential road map to building a strong marriage in the modern world. Best-selling authors Harville Hendrix and Helen LaKelly Hunt distill into 10 essential truths what they've learned about how to create a successful and satisfying relationship - both from their decades of "R&D" in the marriage lab of their workshops, and from their own relationship journey.

I finished this audio-book and I think it is amazing. The principals in it are well known and widely accepted. One thing I really love about it is that it is very practical. It goes through 10 marriage truths and gives exercises that couples can do together after the authors explain that truth. It's not just a general theoretical kind of deal like many other books about marriage and relationships in general are, and the exercises are simple, doable, and yet powerful.

It was the season of the blockbuster. Between August 12 and November 26 1991, a whole slew of acts released albums that were supposed to sell millions of copies in the run-up to Christmas. Metallica, Michael Jackson, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Garth Brooks, MC Hammer, and U2 - all were competing for the attention of the record-buying public at the same time. But perhaps the most attention-seeking act of all was Guns N Roses.

They were the last great band of the '60s and the first great band of the '70s. They rose, somewhat unpromisingly, from the ashes of the Yardbirds to become one of the biggest-selling rock bands of all time - and eventually paid the price for it, with disaster, drug addiction, and death.

Eric Clapton is far more than a rock star. Like Dylan and McCartney, he is an icon and a living legend. He has sold tens of millions of records, played sell-out concerts all over the world, and been central to the significant musical developments of his era. His guitar playing has seen him hailed as "God". Now, for the first time, Eric tells the story of his personal and professional journeys in this pungent, witty, and painfully honest autobiography.

Robert Hilburn’s storied career as a rock critic has allowed him a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of some of the most iconic figures of our time. He was the only music critic to visit Folsom Prison with Johnny Cash. He met John Lennon during his "lost weekend" period in Los Angeles, and they became friends. Bob Dylan granted him his only interviews during his "born again" period and the occasion of his 50th birthday. Michael Jackson invited Hilburn to watch cartoons with him in his bedroom....

Where does Heaven Is Here rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

From a male perspective, this book ranks up there as one of the best books I have ever listened to. I think if I were a woman (especially if I were a mommy), I think it would be the best book I had ever listen to with no competition.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Stephanie Nielson because she shares her thoughts so well.

What about Stephanie Nielson’s performance did you like?

She explains so well what she was feeling and the thoughts that she had to overcome, etc..

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    The whole thing.

    Any additional comments?

I would say that most women who listened to this audio book (especially mommies) will be moved to cry at least 5 times (in a good way).

As lead singer and songwriter for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Anthony Kiedis has lived life on the razor's edge. Much has been written about him, but until now we've only had his songs as clues to his experience from the inside. In Scar Tissue, Kiedis proves himself to be as compelling a memoirist as he is a lyricist, giving us a searingly honest account of the life from which his music has evolved.

Nicole says: "Up Close and Personal with Anthony Kiedis"

What would have made Scar Tissue better?

I only listened to half of it because it started bothering (being a Christians and all) trying to ignore all the specific sexual encounters this book goes into. I was fascinated by the rest of the book and trustfully I was bummed out that I wasn't going to be able to finish it. I don't think all the sexual specifics need to be included to make the story extremely interesting. I think the specifics about the drug use was fascinating and very appropriate but in my opinionk, the sex talk ruined the book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Scar Tissue?

Flee eating Anthony's Phlegm. Gross! I almost puked.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Scar Tissue?

    all the sexual specifics

    Any additional comments?

Its a shame cause I wanted to finish the stinking book but by the ned of book 1, he was going more and more into the sex specifics.
