"This book made me fall in love with the Beatles!"
I have heard Beatles music my entire life but it wasn't until after I listened to this audio book that I first fell in love with the Beatles!
"Marriage/Life Changing"
I finished this audio-book and I think it is amazing. The principals in it are well known and widely accepted. One thing I really love about it is that it is very practical. It goes through 10 marriage truths and gives exercises that couples can do together after the authors explain that truth. It's not just a general theoretical kind of deal like many other books about marriage and relationships in general are, and the exercises are simple, doable, and yet powerful.
"Boring."
I didn't even finish this one because I got bored. Maybe it was just a bad choice of subjects and I wasn't interested enough in the topic to finish it.
"Excellent Book. Very helpful and practical."
This was a great book. In my mind everyone is a screwed up person and everyone relationships is somewhat screwed up so I recommend this book to everyone.
"I LOVE this book. It is like hanging out with Pete"
I LOVE this book. It is like hanging out with Pete Townshend as he tells me about his entire life and all the interesting stuff about his musical career including the Who and many other folks! Very interesting!
"It was too sexually explicit from the get-go"
I am a Christian but I have a pretty good tolerance for a little smut here and there but this book starts off too sexually explicit from the get-go and so I bagged it.
"This is a must read for any rock music lovers."
This book was so incredibly interesting and inspiring! It again makes the same point that many audio books I have read make and that is that one can use music to escape the darkness that life can bring.
"Excellent and FASCINATING!"
This audio book is EXCELLENT and FASCINATING! I love the theme that runs throughout, that is, that Paul McCartney deals with the pain of life with music. I can relate to that (being a guitarist myself)!
"This book is incredible!"
From a male perspective, this book ranks up there as one of the best books I have ever listened to. I think if I were a woman (especially if I were a mommy), I think it would be the best book I had ever listen to with no competition.
Stephanie Nielson because she shares her thoughts so well.
She explains so well what she was feeling and the thoughts that she had to overcome, etc..
The whole thing.
I would say that most women who listened to this audio book (especially mommies) will be moved to cry at least 5 times (in a good way).
"Just too much talk about sex."
I only listened to half of it because it started bothering (being a Christians and all) trying to ignore all the specific sexual encounters this book goes into. I was fascinated by the rest of the book and trustfully I was bummed out that I wasn't going to be able to finish it. I don't think all the sexual specifics need to be included to make the story extremely interesting. I think the specifics about the drug use was fascinating and very appropriate but in my opinionk, the sex talk ruined the book.
Flee eating Anthony's Phlegm. Gross! I almost puked.
all the sexual specifics
Its a shame cause I wanted to finish the stinking book but by the ned of book 1, he was going more and more into the sex specifics.
