    The pride that Douglass described after his escape and worked the first day of his first job where his earnings belonged totally to himself.

    It was nice to be able to listen to a story in about 3 hours time.


    What did you like best about this story?

    Hathaway's performance was excellent. Vividly reminded me of the events of the movie I've seen so many times in my younger days.

    Yes. A wonderful story of how censorship creeps into society and then becomes normal.


    What did you like best about this story?

    I liked they way the issue of censorship in society was essentialized and very starkly presented.


    What about Christopher Hurt’s performance did you like?

    His performance was excellent. He captured Montag's emotions and conflicts.


    If you could rename Fahrenheit 451, what would you call it?

    Never would think of renaming an author's book. Isn't that what this book is about?

    This book was quite a challenge as it got quite technical at times. But I learned a lot about languages and grammar, and how the brain influences each. While I was not convinced that language is an instinct or that there is a grammar gene, there is ample evidence that there is a significant relationship between neuorlogical processes in the brain and grammar and language.

    When I read other books now, I look more at structure and how authors express ideas, what makes things clear or confusing, and notice the difference between writing in different periods.

    I was moved by his courage to return to the US even at the risk of being arrested again.
