Such a slow story line. Lots of standing around and talking but no action in this book...
I'm a huge follower of the jack walker character. And although I enjoyed the fallout series until i think it was #8 when it just got boring for me, I like the mike talbot character. The issue I have with this book is it literally took forever for anything to happen and then the book concludes. I think putting jack walker and mike talbot together is a great idea for an uber-sci-fi novel. I hope book 2 gets a little more action packed and we learn a lot more about where these guys were transported to. On a note about the narrator. I enjoy Sean Runnette as the voice of mike talbot. But I think bringing in Mark gagliardi for jack's voice would cut down on some confusion of who is actually talking and I'd say I'm just used to his voice as jack walker.
One of the better storylines. Great narration. Very easy to listen to and get sucked into for hours.
Great Narration and Storyline. So glad I finally found a book that begins and ends in one listening unlike most of these types of books that the author has to beat to death in prequels and sequels..
This audiobook starts out ok and has a good base storyline but there is so much wasted time that you become bored hearing about the specific makes and models of every single item that they purchased and used prepping for the end of the world as we know... I listened to Mr. Rawles "How To Survive The End Of the World As We Know It" and was impressed when he did supply us with this information but that was a guide to prepardness not a fictitous novel. This book is way too long for what it is and could have been shortened in length. I will give his "Survivors" a try eventually but I am glad I used my monthly credit for "Patriots" because it really isn't worth the $26++ price.
This audiobook starts out interesting but does not give you any great thrills.
It is very slow going. The overall story gets summed up in the last 3 minutes of the book.
I listen to a lot of audiobooks and must say this is by far the all time worst yet.
The story develops so slowly. I was thinking the pace would pick up when the story got interesting.
It never did pick up the pace or get interesting.
There is this long build up to nothing. It is like the author had to finish the story for a deadline because it just ends telling you little to nothing.
There are a lot of other audiobooks out there to pick that are real thrillers. This book literally put me to sleep at times.
