A woman is found murdered in the woods with a very special watch on her wrist, and what seemed a simple case soon escalates into a nightmare. The criminal methods of some of the most infamous killers of all time are being replicated by a new predator who stalks and strikes victims with a cunning brilliance. No one can understand the murderer's motives or who the next victim will be.

Pretty good story. A little predictable in parts but still a fun listen.

  • World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War

The Zombie War came unthinkably close to eradicating humanity. Max Brooks, driven by the urgency of preserving the acid-etched first-hand experiences of the survivors from those apocalyptic years, traveled across the United States of America and throughout the world, from decimated cities that once teemed with upwards of 30 million souls, to the most remote and inhospitable areas of the planet.

I can't stand that they don't have an unabridged version of this book. I held off buying it forever but I keep hearing how good it is so I broke down and bought it.

This is easily one of my favorite books though, I will definatley listen to it several times.

Nick Stone, ex-SAS, now working for British Intelligence, is tough, resourceful, and ruthless. Sarah is beautiful, intelligent, and cunning, the only woman that Stone has ever let under his guard. And now he's been sent to hunt her down. As the pair are pursued through the American South, Stone's mission becomes a journey to the heart of a dark and deadly conspiracy; one to which only Sarah holds the key.

    John says: "authentic, non-romanticized action"
"o.k. story but the reader was weak."
    Overall

I really enjoyed this story for the most part. Some of the American stereotyping got under my skin though. The reader is a no talent hack, his voices were horrible and made it painful to finish the book.

In the most suspenseful thriller yet from the author of Along Came a Spide and Jack and Jill, Detective Alex Cross is on the trail of 2 murderers who may be working together. Casanova preys on talented college women from the Carolinas to Florida. The Gentleman Caller is terrorizing Los Angeles. The case takes Cross coast to coast and to the Deep South, where his niece, a law student, has been abducted. Will she be the next victim of one, or both, of the killers?

    "Great reading..... HORRIBLE SOUND EFFECTS."
    Overall

I really enjoyed hearing Benson(Robert Guillaume) and Chris Noth read this book I think they did great jobs, but the Sound Effects were Horrible (think finger nails on a chalk board but worse). If this had been the full version there is no way I could have made it, there were several times I was ready to just give up they were so bad.

The story is o.k. for an abridged version.
