Over the last few years I have forgotten what made me fall in love with Nora Roberts books 15 years ago. This book reminds me of why I love her books. Abigail is a survivor and I really fell in love with her strength. Brooks was an amazing perfect match for Abigail. Strong enough to let Abigail be strong and not let it diminish him. This is one of her best books.
Joanna Wylde is an automatic-buy author for me so I picked this book up as soon as it was available for pre-order. I was really looking forward to Pucks story but this book just didn't do it for me. I couldn't relate to Becca or Puck. I kept waiting for the story to pick up and it never did. I am really hoping Painter and Melanie's store gets back in line with the work I am used to from this author. I won't give up on this author because usually enjoy her work but this is not my favorite.
This is my first book by this author, if I'd know it was about teens I wouldn't have purchased the book. I just couldn't get into the book at all.
For some reason I just can't get into this book. I've tried three different occasions and it just doesn't work for me. I think the premise is part of my issue but I also am not connecting with the characters. The narrator is decent in this book.
The author has yet to let me down with this series. I was very excited to hear Pic's story and the story held up to my expectations. The epilog was awesome and I can't wait to see if my guess is right.
This story was sweet and not really graphic but there was something missing for me and I don't know if it was the story or the narrator. The narrator didn't bring life to the story at all. There was no change in inflection or emotion to the reading. While it was a slow easy listen I am not in love with this one.
I feel like I've heard this story before. There was nothing that engaged me in this story and I found myself skipping forward waiting for something to happen.
As much as I enjoyed the 1st book in the Redemption series I loved this book. I laughed so often and Lucy Rivers brought this story to life just as she did in the 1st book. This was worth the wait and purchase.
I love all the books in this series and I was really looking forward to this book. I don't know if this book fell a little short for me because I had a hard time with the narrator or that I felt the story had no momentum but I was left wanting and had to push myself through this book which is weird as I've listened to the others in this series multiple times because I loved them so much.
I will still continue to get books by this author as I think this book was an anomaly for me and I love the authors work, just not sure I will get this narrator again as she didn't work well for me. I loved the narrator on the other 3 books, I felt they were excellent picks and I enjoyed the change in narrator. I thought it gave each person's story their own voice.
I've loved every book in this series and this did not disappoint. It was the most anticipated novel for me and I was not disappointed at all. All the questions I had from book 2 were answered and I am a definite fan. I am not going to give any spoilers and I can't wait or Picnic's story.
I am a huge Kristen Ashley fan so I pre-ordered this book as soon as I saw it. I was expecting a different book entirely. I'm used to her Rock Chick, Motorcycle Man, Fire Inside books and her writing style that was prevalent throughout the books. In this book I didn't find the normal writing style I'm used to and I was bored with the story line.
I will continue to support KA because she is amazing even though this series is not for me.
