"A solid listen."
A solid listen but can be repetitive in parts. Enjoyable overall. Hard to believe what they went through.
"Incredible story & details I never knew."
This is an incredible story of a sport that played by there own rules and believed they were right to do so. It also provided details of the performance benefits of performance enhancing drugs that I did not know. The book made me realize that those who used them in any sport had a very real advantage and a were cheating the fans from seeing real competition.
Could be a bit repetitive at times but overall very good.
"Very weak story and characters."
Doesn't seem like a Grisham book. I am sure it is but not up to his usual standards. Very weak story and generally uninteresting characters. Kept thinking until the end that the storyline would "breakout." Never happened! Maybe he should take a break from the legal genre. Seems like he's getting stale or disinterested. He has a great legacy unfortunately this book diminishes it.
"Great story of real courage."
Great story of real courage. The narrator was excellent. Does in some ways make me feel the political and cultural bridges might never be crossed.
"Not bad but not great."
Good storyline that may be a bit over written. Excellent audio performance including the different accents. Dialogue was funny early on.
"Very powerful."
Should be required reading for high school/college students to demonstrate man's inhumanity on an extreme basis.
