Yes I probably will. I really liked this series of books and this was my favorite in the series.

When Helen finally sees Alistar without his eye patch and instead of being disgusted or turning away from him she treats him with tenderness and acceptance.

Yes, shes ok. Not my favorite narrator but certainly not the worst.

I love Helen and Alistar, they are such an unlikely couple but perfect for each other. Alistar is so tourtured by his past but is redeemed by Helen's unconditional love. Alistar is also far from physically perfect although he is still very appealing and I tend to really like stories with imperfect characters.

This book is not a light listen and getting through it almost did me in. Both Ava and Gideon are such tortured souls reading their story made my heart hurt. Although I eventually will want to know what happens next I just can't take it right now and need a break before I go into a depression. I enjoy steamy love scenes but I found them to be a bit overkill in this case. I'd say about 70% of this book is pure sex and I don't find that appealing as I prefer a bit more plot, dialogue and actual romance and Gideon's idea of romance was not exactly normal. The characters also use a lot of crass language during love making which is a huge turn off for me.

I bought this series a long time ago on sale and never got around to listening to it because I wasn't really sure I'd be into it but boy was I wrong! I usually read Historical Romance and as much as I love my Dukes and Duchesses I was in the mood for something a little different so I decided to listen to the first installment of The Black Dagger Brotherhood and it wasn't long before I was totally hooked on the delicious warrior vampire brothers and actually went on and listened to the whole series in order. Dark Lover was one of my favorites in the series. This book tells the story of Wrath (the vampire king) and Beth his beloved. What I love about this series is that even though each book focuses on one specific relationship there is a lot more going on with other characters and relationships at the same time. The narrator that was chosen for this series is one of the best I have heard and he made the books even better. I highly recommend.

Eloisa James writing is fantastic!

The relationship between the Duke and duchess really evolved during this book. At first I didn't care for the Duchess and found her flighty and shallow and thought the Duke was being cold and distant but when they really began to talk to each other and truly get to know each other it became clear that both possesed a much deeper character than it initially appeared.

It actually took me a while to get used to her way of speaking. Her voice trailed up at the end of sentances quite a bit and it sounded odd at first but once I got used to it she was fine. Her voices for the charcters were excellent.

At one point it looks like there is no possible way that the Duke is going to survive from his heart condition. I really thought he was going to die at one point and I couldn't help but cry especially when they decide to take the gamble with his life.Thank goodness for romances as they almost always end up alright in the end.

I'm can't wait to read the next book Villiers seemed like a pretty sexy guy(I can't help but like the men who refuse to wear wigs) and I'm excited to hear his story.

Oh yes and I can't wait for the next book!

There really is no other book that I have read that compares to this one. It does, however , make me curious about actually reading some of Dante's work to understand more of what the characters were talking about and the story behind it.

Hi voice is sexy and sensual and perfect for Gabriel. He did all of the characters voices very well and I always knew exactly who was talking. He's one of the few male narrators that doesn't make the female characters sound like simpering idots.

This was so wildly good that at one point I woke up at three in the morning and had to finish a chapter before I could go back to sleep.

This is the most delicious book I have ever read. It's a hopeless romantics dream, redemption, second chances and true love.

Some of the sex scenes especially in the beginning were almost pornographic and I actually stopped reading for a while but had to see what happened. I felt like a lot of sex was written in simply for the sake of sex and without a real point and it turned me off. Finally we got to the real story and I think the relationship that eventually developed between the characters was touching, I just wish there was more story and romance and less gratuitous sex. I don't mind steamy love scenes but it was just too much.

I thought this narrator was excellent and performed the accents well.

I think that I really just don't care for this author. I read another book by her from this series a few months ago and did not enjoy it. I thought I would try this one since it got better reviews and I had in in my library but it was just as bad.

These books are just a bit tedious, traveling fom inn to inn, love scenes are a bit overdone and repetitive. No truly great connection between the characters. Blah.

The male voices are good but the female voices are whiny.

I did like Angelica she was very outspoken and free thinking for the time period and I enjoyed that.

I have never read this in print but I thought the audio version was excellent.

I've listened to this whole series narrated by her and I think she does a great job. Her accents are very well done.

This was not my favorite book in the series but I enjoyed very much anyway. Caelen was frustrating at first and I thought he was going to be a hopeless hero but managed to redeem himself in the end. Rionna was great but I got upset when Caelen was initially trying to change and control her thankfully she didn't listen to him :)

Probably not. Although I think the author is a talented story teller I find the heroine frustrating.

I could not help but be frustrated by the Elspeth! She is so upset that Cormac will not break his vow to Isabelle after she has given him her virginity and her love even though he told her from the very beginning he could not give her a future because he was promised to another. It's her own fault. I know it's just a story but I feel her behavior is a terrible example to women. Giving yourself to a man in an attempt to make them love you is just a terrible idea!

I very much enjoyed this story but I was disapointed with the narrator. I think her voice was excellent for Elizabeth but her husband's voice sounded almost identical. I couldn't figure out who was talking half the time and it was distracting and a little weird.

Elizabeth was strong and resiliant, an overall excellent female heroine.

Oh dear, the male voices were just terrible I'm sorry to say.

Parts of it yes, but I wasn't compelled to walk around with my headphones all day.
