China Brown is alive, but barely. She doesn't want to live. She's lost the only thing that ever mattered: her unborn baby. Drawn to this lovely, fragile woman, Ben English must convince her to help him find a murderer in a scandalous case where the suspects reach into the upper echelons of Dallas society, politics, and the media. And as a killer closes in, China must place her trust in one man, because her life, and her heart, depend on it.

The facts are public knowledge: five people have been murdered. Each has died from a blow to the head. And the media-dubbed Prince Charming killer has left a “calling card” with each victim. A single thornless rose. But there’s another fact...one that the police haven’t made public. Something no one, except the killer and the police, should know. But Gabriel Donner does - and he can’t figure out why. All he knows is that he’s begun hearing voices, sleepwalking and dreaming vividly of the murders...as they happen.

    Story
What made the experience of listening to Reunion the most enjoyable?

the story lives up to the expectations set by Sharon Sala's other books. the narrator hits just the right note - capturing the nuances and subtleties of the characters and moments, without being over the top. for those who are new to Sharon Sala, this is a great place to start.

What did you like best about this story?

The intricate plot, with changes and surprises at every turn. It really grips your attention.

    Any additional comments?

The story could run the risk of being seen as overly sentimental, but it steers clear of that. the narrator really helps keep this grounded, so you can relate to the different characters and feel them as fully-detailed individuals with a range of moods and emotions.

Self-professed nerd Maddie Maloney is an expert on jewels. Jewel thieves are another matter entirely! So when a mysterious Englishman warns her that a thief known as The Chameleon is after the rare pink diamond on display in her aunt's shop, she tells herself it's just a joke. Even if she can't get Mr. Tall, Dark and Handsome out of her mind.

    Story
Would you consider the audio edition of Gentlemen Prefer Nerds to be better than the print version?

yes! the audible version really animates the characters and gives them more color and style.

What did you like best about this story?

fun, romance, excitement! everything from the mundane (house cat, bothersome neighbor) to the glamourous (diamonds! yachts! upperclass Brit gentleman!). the main character is smart and she knows it...and beautiful and sexy but she doesn't know it! fun story of her being drawn into things and drawn out of her shell. a very satisfying close to the story.

What about Jane Sefton’s performance did you like?

different personalities evident for each of the characters. the performance really got across a feel for how people are...with each one different. loved the personality used for the main character.
... also did a nice job differentiating the British from the South African accents, which is a challenge!

    Any additional comments?

    get it and enjoy it!!
