This is an amazing epic story that keeps you listening and wanting more and more. The characters are so treacherous it is very exciting to continue to listen.
There are so many characters in this book it can be hard to remember who is who sometimes, and while I like them all in various ways, I think I am most interested in Aria Stark, Tyrion Lanister and as of this last book, Jayme has become all of a sudden interesting. However, Tyrion was absent through much of this book and I am wondering how he will reappear in the last.
Up until this book I would have said this was one of the best narrators I have heard, but all of a sudden he is pronouncing the names differently than he had in the first 3 books (over 120 hours) and it was super annoying. Cat-lynn for books 1-3 and Kate-lynn for this, Pa-tire Balish (1-3) Peter for this, Br-eye-een for the first -third and Brianne for this,
This book made me so angry and outraged at one point it made me lose sleep! The whole series is like that. The treachery know no bounds and there are wrists and turns everywhere. It is great fun
I am excited to see how it end, but frankly I don't see how he is going to wrap up all the loose story ends in only 40 hours. There are a lot.
I love that this book brings back one of my all time favorite Stephen King Characters, Danny Torrence. I always wondered what happened to him
I could have listened to thins book all the way through without stopping, but on the other hand I didn't want it to end. I have often wondered where in the Stephen King Universe Danny Torrance and his Shine ended up and now I know. I didn't want it to end.
Since I read IT locked in the bathroom because I was so terrified and loved every minute of it when I was 11 I have devoured every Stephen King book I could get my hands on. This one did not disappoint. Loved it so much.
I liked hearing about this other place that has been referred to in other Simon Greene stories. It was a fast pace and fun story. I am kinda hoping that this is going to be another series.
The characters were very interesting. I liked how the author developed them.
The narrator added alot to this book. Each character was distance and had its owned personality.
I liked this book and I wanted to keep listening to it. I found myself taking a longer walk or lunch or the long way home to keep listening.
A continuation of an epic struggle of god vs evil.
I love these characters. I already started the next book because I am so excited to find out what happens next.
He narration is just perfect. Each character is distinct and I love listening to her.
I am so involved in this story I find myself choking up listening to it a lot I also laughed out loud in many places. These characters are so human and real I love hearing about their lives. I will be sad when the series is over.
This series has quickly moved to my top 10 series.
This is an incredible epic saga where the villains are very bad and the heroes very good. The story is compelling and I never wanted to stop listening to it. The narrator was excellent as well. The only thing was this particular segment had some audio flaws but it was not bad enough to detract from what an incredible story this is.
The battles are amazing. I can almost see how this would be if it were a movie. I did not want the series to end.
I have listened to many of Kate Reading's performances and this, like all of them, is superb. One of the finest narrators around.
The battle scenes made me cry. I have come to love these characters. I soared with their triumphs and weeped with their defeats.
The narrator is as excellent as the story. I love Kate Redding and her reading of this book in phenomenal
This series is unlike any I have read. At its heart it is an underdog story about good and evil but it is so much more. The characters are rich and complex and there are many twists and turns.
There is nothing bad about Kate Reading's performance. Her characterization is fantastic and each character is distinct. And I love her accent
I always looked forward to listening to the book. I took longer walks and longer ways home. Didn't want to turn it off
I can't wait to listen to the next book
I am really excited to listen to the next book. I have really grown to like all of these characters and there are alot of twists and turns in the story line. This particular book ended on a real cliff hanger and I am excited to see what happens next.
I can't say enough great things about this series. It is creative, it has supernatural fantastic-ness, werewolves, and vamps and witches oh my. And a talking dog, who happens to be my favorite character. I can't wait to listen to more. I love the narrator too.
I am totally addicted to this series and I think my favorite part may be when Oberon talks. It is exactly how I would imagine a dog communicating, well maybe a little more intelligently than I imagine, but I love this particular insight to the story. Atticus makes me want to spend 12 years learning arcane languages and spells to be a Druid too.
Still a very fun, fast paced book. I really liked it. I so loved the first three and Jim Dale that it was a little hard to get used to a different narrator. I still highly recommend this book and this series.
This story was really engaging and a bit frightening if this is really how life is in North Korea. The paranoia, the games, the "rehabilitation camps" the propaganda is so cold war it is hard to believe that this still exists. I immediately cared about the characters and couldn't wait to continue the story each time I had to stop the book.
The narrators were really excellent as well. The added alot to the story and really added life to the story. I am interested to read more from this author and this story made me want to learn more about this mysterious and dangerous place called North Korea.
