Ed Kennedy is an underage cabdriver without much of a future. He's pathetic at playing cards, hopelessly in love with his best friend, Audrey, and utterly devoted to his coffee-drinking dog, the Doorman. His life is one of peaceful routine and incompetence, until he inadvertently stops a bank robbery.

Maybe I would have liked this book better had I not just listened to the Book Thief, this author's other book. It was so brilliant, seriously one of the best books I have ever read. The narrator wa s wonderful and the story was ok. but it just didn't grab me like his other book. I didn't care about the characters nearly as much and the book seemed to drag a little.

Considered by the author to be his finest work yet, this is a novel of realistic detail, heartfelt emotion, and dazzling imagination that builds a world listeners won't want to leave and spins a tale they won't want to end. In a town of amazing magicks, where the real and the imagined live side by side and the Faerie of legend know the automatons of the future, Time sees all - but even he cannot escape the prophecy of James Hart's return, which can only mean the death of Shadows Fall.

If you could sum up Captain's Fury in three words, what would they be?

A continuation of an epic struggle of god vs evil.

What did you like best about this story?

I love these characters. I already started the next book because I am so excited to find out what happens next.

What does Kate Reading bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He narration is just perfect. Each character is distinct and I love listening to her.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I am so involved in this story I find myself choking up listening to it a lot I also laughed out loud in many places. These characters are so human and real I love hearing about their lives. I will be sad when the series is over.

    Any additional comments?

This series has quickly moved to my top 10 series.

What made the experience of listening to First Lord's Fury the most enjoyable?

This is an incredible epic saga where the villains are very bad and the heroes very good. The story is compelling and I never wanted to stop listening to it. The narrator was excellent as well. The only thing was this particular segment had some audio flaws but it was not bad enough to detract from what an incredible story this is.

What was one of the most memorable moments of First Lord's Fury?

The battles are amazing. I can almost see how this would be if it were a movie. I did not want the series to end.

Have you listened to any of Kate Reading’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to many of Kate Reading's performances and this, like all of them, is superb. One of the finest narrators around.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The battle scenes made me cry. I have come to love these characters. I soared with their triumphs and weeped with their defeats.

What made the experience of listening to Cursor's Fury the most enjoyable?

The narrator is as excellent as the story. I love Kate Redding and her reading of this book in phenomenal

What other book might you compare Cursor's Fury to and why?

This series is unlike any I have read. At its heart it is an underdog story about good and evil but it is so much more. The characters are rich and complex and there are many twists and turns.

What about Kate Reading’s performance did you like?

There is nothing bad about Kate Reading's performance. Her characterization is fantastic and each character is distinct. And I love her accent

After 12 years of secret training, Atticus O’Sullivan is finally ready to bind his apprentice, Granuaile, to the earth and double the number of Druids in the world. But on the eve of the ritual, the world that thought he was dead abruptly discovers that he’s still alive, and they would much rather he return to the grave. Having no other choice, Atticus, his trusted Irish wolfhound, Oberon, and Granuaile travel to the base of Mount Olympus, where the Roman god Bacchus is anxious to take his sworn revenge - but he’ll have to get in line behind an ancient vampire, a band of dark elves, and an old god of mischief.

I am totally addicted to this series and I think my favorite part may be when Oberon talks. It is exactly how I would imagine a dog communicating, well maybe a little more intelligently than I imagine, but I love this particular insight to the story. Atticus makes me want to spend 12 years learning arcane languages and spells to be a Druid too.

Aidan and Sarah Cooper have no idea what they’re getting into one afternoon when they discover a mysterious coded document in a secret compartment of an antique English desk their father recently bought at an auction. Something about the document seems familiar to Sarah, and that night she realizes what it is: the document seems to be referring to some books she has read - the Starcatchers series, about the origin of Peter Pan. But how could that be? The document seems far older than the books. And of course, the books are just stories....

This story was really engaging and a bit frightening if this is really how life is in North Korea. The paranoia, the games, the "rehabilitation camps" the propaganda is so cold war it is hard to believe that this still exists. I immediately cared about the characters and couldn't wait to continue the story each time I had to stop the book.

The narrators were really excellent as well. The added alot to the story and really added life to the story. I am interested to read more from this author and this story made me want to learn more about this mysterious and dangerous place called North Korea.

I was engrossed from the beginning. There were so many twists and turns and surprises it kept me guessing until the end. I love the extra creative twist that the protagonist/detective is suffering from amnesia in addition to trying to solve a mystery. I can't wait to read more from this author. The narrator was excellent and really added to the experience. I admittedly have a thing for narrators with accents, but she was excellent nonetheless. Highly recommend. It is a highly unique story.
