I bought this for my husband, as we are both fans of the series "Deadliest Catch". I listened to it first, and thoroughly enjoyed it. So much humor, some sadness, very poignant moments. I'd recommend it to all.
I did like this book, but parts left me wanting more. I wanted more interaction with Roark's family, and Nixie. I wanted more banter and a little lighter hearted dialog. I think the dialog between the characters is usually amazing, very entertaining. I guess to much emphasis on the killer and not enough of Eve's "friends".
Although I really enjoy Tess Gerritsen's story telling, this one wasn't one of her best. Seemed a bit convoluted, and confusing at times.
At first I wasn't sure about this one but I'm really glad I stuck it out. It was a good travel back in recent history. An interesting look behind the scenes of a carnival. An excellent woven tale, of coming of age.
I enjoyed the collaboration between Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg, both lending perspective to the fun story. Nice easy read.
Rhys Bowen weaves a plot with a lot of humor. Usually I can spot the culprit much earlier than I did in this one. A fun book worth listening to again.
