"The beginning of a wonderful adventure!"
It's been over a year since I read the last book in this series and still long for more. Diana Gabaldon has an extraordinary talent of combining history, romance and intrigue in a way to make one feel as if you are there, sharing the adventure with the characters. If you're a history buff, or even if you're not, you will find delight in the portrayals of the European life of the 1400 CE, from Scottish landlords and there tenants to the French aristocracy and a lot in between. Davina Porter narrates beautifully. Voices are consistent and distinct and her reading is at a perfect speed.I'll keep this series on my "shelf" for repeat consideration.
"North & South Narrated by Juliet Stevenson"
Awesome narration. Felt like there was a full cast of characters at the mike. Story is not incredibly exciting but interesting.
"Tara Road"
Love the Author, Love the Book. Others have complained in their reviews of the poor quality of this one but I did not find that at all. I do much prefer Kate Binchy's narrations but Katherine Bowowitz does a fine job.
