"Content OK...But....."
The content of this work is fine, although a little redundant.
BUT....the use of two readers is a little over-done.
One reads the regular text, but when scripture is read or different sections are addressed another voice (GOD?) makes the appearance...it's overdone and frankly a little silly. Then, just when things get back to normal, a series of chime-like notes take over...not sure why...maybe for emphasis?..but once again not adding anything of value.
It would have been nice just to hear someone read the book!
"Sorry, but it's more likely "Quantum Entrapment""
Someone with no knowledge of the basics of meditation, the 'field', self-hypnosis, etc.
Or perhaps someone who likes a good 'story'.
He takes enough real science and mixes it with pseudoscience to make a case for developing his own 'method'. You can rename something whatever you want (especially if you want to sell books!), but that doesn't change it's basic nature. A pig with a gold ring in its nose is still a pig!
I'm a physician with 30 years of experience.
I have degrees in Chemistry, Math, and Botany.
I stay well read on all the latest re healing, meditation, clinical hypnosis, etc.
This book is nothing new other than the terms the author invented.
Yep.... I'll do more research on a book now before buying it....
"Super!"
I'll listen to the audiobook over and over again. Rewarding, enlightening, engaging, important. I'd buy it again in a minute...
"Sorry...But It's A Non-Starter For Me!"
This approach to weight loss seems narrow sighted and oversimplified. It also has significant religious overtones... not that that is bad, I just think the reader should be fore-warned about the approach the author takes. As a physician I am sure some of my patients would find the book useful, but many have issues far beyond the narrow scope taken by the author.
"Strange Partners"
I found Deepak's portion great... enlightening and rewarding. The remainder would be well-received by a teenage girl having problems in school. I found it narrow and tough to get through.
"Honest opinion..."
While the context of this book may be ok I found the author's reading of it poor. He often sounds like he's in a hurry to get through certain passages...almost like reading it is a chore he wants to finish quickly. Other times his reading is stilted or without any inflection whatsoever. I couldn't finish the book because of it....
