Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Not really. It was a long drawn out story

What do you think your next listen will be?

Not sure, but definitely a mystery

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The narrator was monotonus, swhich did not help the long drawn out story line

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    No.

Just as 200,000 fans are pouring into town for Race Week, a body is found in a barrel of asphalt next to the Charlotte Motor Speedway. The next day, a NASCAR crew member comes to Temperance Brennan’s office at the Mecklenburg County Medical Examiner to share a devastating story. Twelve years earlier, Wayne Gamble’s sister, Cindi, then a high school senior and aspiring racer, disappeared along with her boyfriend, Cale Lovette. Lovette kept company with a group of right-wing extremists known as the Patriot Posse.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. It's a good listen and very entertaining. Much better than the TV show.

What did you like best about this story?

I like the way Tempe's sluething and romance are once again intertwined. She lost one guy and gained another, let's here it for a woman who knows how to juggle.

What does Linda Emond bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?

Her dipiction of Tempe's expressions are priceless. I can see the eyerolls as they are described.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No tears, but lots of laughter, especially the converstations between Skinny and Tempe

    Any additional comments?

Keep em' coming Kathy and LInda.
