Gideon Cross: As beautiful and flawless on the outside as he was damaged and tormented on the inside. He was a bright, scorching flame that singed me with the darkest of pleasures. I couldn’t stay away. I didn’t want to. He was my addiction…my every desire…mine. My past was as violent as his, and I was just as broken. We’d never work. It was too hard, too painful…except when it was perfect. Those moments when the driving hunger and desperate love were the most exquisite insanity. We were bound by our need. And our passion would take us beyond our limits to the sweetest, sharpest edge of obsession.…

"Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness… He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily…Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other’s most private wounds…and desires."

Overcoming a gambling addiction can be hard work. If it were as easy as simply walking away from the casino, slots, sports betting, track, or card games, there’d be a lot fewer problem gamblers. You’ve likely tried cutting back or even quitting already, with predictable consequences. In no time at all - occasionally just hours - you’re right back at it. In Gambling Lied To Me number-one best-selling author Craig Beck will show you the secrets behind quitting for good without any pain, cravings to play, or willpower required.

Would you try another book from Craig Beck and/or Craig Beck?

No. I'm more interested in a deeper exploration of gambling addiction.

Has Gambling Lied to Me turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, some other books I'm read have been very informative.

What aspect of Craig Beck’s performance would you have changed?

The performance came across as almost rushed. It was like he just rushed out his book, without any real feeling or thought.

Do you think Gambling Lied to Me needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Absolutely not, unless he is going to become more indepth, exploring all the facets of gambling addiction.

    Any additional comments?

I certainly hope that Mr. Beck is not writing books just to make money off of compulsive gamblers. They already have serious financial issues.
