Being a knitter, I have enjoyed Macomber's books in the past. Got this on $4.95 sale. Would be possible to listen to a nice story, but the narrator's tone is that of an old busy buddy with a little bun on top of her head. She simply was too irritating to listen to past Chapter 3. I quit.
Tried 3 times to start it. Just found my mind drifting each time. Simply couldn't get into it. Tried to return it, but return not working.
I loved the book. The narrator spoke as if he were reading to elementary school kids sitting on a rug. Ruined it. The book is too meaningful to be cutsie. Interestingly enough, in the second book, A Dog's Journey, same narrator- fantastic job. Could definitely listen again to Purpose for the story- but narration would make it painful.
Calming, intriguing, clear
That his sister was the butterfly
I loved when he saw dogs there.
Loved the narrator. Voice was perfect to follow on this journey. I was actually lying on my stomach getting a tattoo on my back. I listened to the entire book at once. Kept me interested and relaxed. Perfect choice.
A credible narrator
Racing in the Rain
The worst narration I have ever heard. Bought series and have been stuck on Chapter 3 of first book. Can't go on. Serious casting misstep on someone's part.
