    I liked Leila's past and her special abilities. Vlad's humor comes out even with a human that is frightened by him, I saw little sparks of what his character looked like from Cat's point of view, although he did not feel as fleshed out as I would have liked him to be.

    However I am definitely interested in this part of the series and am eager to see if the author purses this line of the story.

    I always like the way Wu molds the characters so "Performance" is still 5 stars but the rest of this book is more like Part 1 of 2. The cost should reflect it but doesn't.
