This is a great book for those wishing to see George Bush's decisions from his point of view. Love him or hate him, read this book to see his perspective. It may change your mind or solidify the view you already had.
The narrator was great. He was easy to listen to, and brought the story life.
I love to listen to presidential perspectives on the events that occured durring their time. There is no greater office and no greater burdan than the Presidency of the United States. Because hindsight is often 20/20, much can be learned of life in their time, compared to life now. Granted not much time has passed for this one, but perspectives of the President himself cannot be disputed. They are his view of the problems he encountered.
This is a great non fiction book that tells a horrible truth
I enjoyed what North Korea is like for the regular people
I found this book by browsing. I loved it. It was a nice refreshing story with a good twist at the end. I am thinking of course the movie will do it no justice.
This is a great telling of WWII from the soldiers perspective. I read it some years ago and hearing it again I learned some new things I had forgotten. Stephen Ambrose has a way of telling a story that bring the words of history to life.
His story telling keeps the listener listening. It's like watching a movie in your head.
I wish I could listen to this in one sitting.
Listening to this makes me proud to be an American. Proud of our history and thankful of our past. Some may say our current generation couldn't do the same. Many have said the same of previous generations before. Gertrude Stein called the WWII generation, "The lost generation".
I'm sure history will repeat itself if the current generation is ever called on to defend freedom on a massive scale. It will succeed and we will prevail.
What a great book.
