"THE ULTIMATE INSTANT HEALING BOOK"
The number one instant healing book I've come across.
Instant Healing by Frank Kinslow and Serge Kahili King were also helpful.
Great narration.
Absolutely, I'm now on my 10th time listening to it...at work, at home and on the road.
Howard Stern was wrong, Dr. Sarno is not just a saint, he's a hero, an angel and a best friend. Wish I came across this book in 2011, the most painful year of my life. I had bursitis, sciatica and neuroma, all on the left side of my body. I had MRI (they said I have herniated disc), 2 epidural cortisone injections to ease the extreme back pain, had the excruciatingly painful nerve conduction study (normal results), 3 injections on my left foot and took all kinds of prescription medications and muscle relaxants which just left me dazed all day. One time I almost ran off the road so I decided all the madness had to stop. I went to a chiropractor and it somehow helped ease the pain but started researching on healing. I came across a couple of instant healing books and they also helped but this book is the ULTIMATE INSTANT HEALING book. I believe in his philosophy and always thought that all my sickness were due to something inside of me so I went inward. This book came at the time when my right shoulder and foot also started acting up. Now I just tell them that their cover is blown and I'm not putting up with this and the pain just subsides in a couple of seconds. I also thank my body for listening to my commands at the end of the day. Last night, I attended a party for a retiring friend at the Pentagon, walked miles and miles then danced the night away later on. NO PAIN!!! I've been talking to friends about Dr. Sarno endlessly. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
"Can I give it 5 1/2? Where were you all my life?"
Absolutely!!! This book answers so many questions about personal freedom, LIBERATION IN A CLEAR, SIMPLE, why-did-I-not-realize-it-before way!!! Thanks, Michael for figuring it out for me.
I am only halfway listening to this book but I love the analogy about the thorn, how we so protect our endless pain and drama and cling so tightly to them instead of just letting go and stopping the madness within. Brilliant.
I loved it when he said if you want to quit smoking, stop putting cigarettes in your mouth. Personally, I want to lose 5 lbs. so I'll quit shoving food in my mouth. Funny but very, very true!!!
Yes, were it not for so many distractions and things to do. But I plan to listen to it over and over again.
This book should be spread like the Gospel. As the other reviewer wrote, in my case, Mr. Singer is just as great as my other favorites: Ram Dass, Don Miguel Ruiz, Eckhart Tolle and Deepak.
"Brilliant!!!"
Of course, this is very practical and realistic. Very well crafted. I haven't finished listening but I have learned so much. It's so easy to understand and follow and the narrator is very good, I don't know why the other reviewer characterized it as a difficult listen. He read it the way it should have been read, even the dialogues were so appropriate and intonation just perfect!
I bought that Scream-Free Parenting, returned it because it beat around the bush too much. Not practical at all, I have been a child care provider for more than 40 years and I should know.
This is my first time.
Consistency, firmness and respect are essential in dealing with difficult children.
"MIRACULOUS!!!"
I don't have the printed version but I will get it, too.
None can compare except for Dr. Sarno's two other books.
I have listened to all of Dr. Sarno's books here on audible. All I can say is he is a GENIUS! This guy deserves the Nobel Prize for Medicine!!!
Have you ever heard of a book the heals you just by listening to it? He set me free and made me the master of my body again after suffering the whole of 2011 from bursitis, sciatica (herniated disc, or so they say) and morton's neuroma. I bought the Mindbody Prescription earlier, used to avoid going out because of the burning pain in my feet, but from day one I was able to walk several miles at the Pentagon then danced the night away in the evening!!! Talk about miracles!
"SUPER SARNO"
Wish I came across you in 2011, the most painful year of my life. I had to eat standing up and couldn't sleep at night because I didn't know whether to kick or be still just to shut my mind off the excruciating pain. I had bursitis, sciatica and neuroma, all on the left side of my body. I had MRI (they said I have herniated disc), 2 epidural cortisone injections to ease the extreme back pain, had the intensely painful nerve conduction study (normal results), 3 injections on my left foot and took all kinds of prescription medications and muscle relaxants which just left me dazed all day. I almost ran off the road one day so I decided all the madness had to stop. I got this book just when the right side of my body started manifesting the same pain I had on my left side. I was healed from day one just by listening to it. Thanks super Dr. Sarno.
I will listen to this book again and again so I can absorb every nugget of wisdom and practical advice it offers.
Yes, they were excellent.
I was astounded!!!
"Wonderful information"
This is a book with loads of information everyone can use. I like the author's unselfish presentation of a smorgasbord of sound ideas about healing and his background in medicine and psychology all the more make it credible.
I have Morton's nueroma in my left foot and have had three injections but the burning pain still recurred time and again and began to develop on the other one. I felt the doctor that treated me did not give me enough medication and I resented him for that. One of the suggestions Dr. Kahili King gave was to associate the pain with aspects of our lives we might not have forgiven and I gave it a try. The pain went away and I feel confident that my healing will be complete. He covered so many facets of our lives which we often take for granted and this, I think, is the mark of a good healer. I will listen to this book again and again until I fully get it.
Thanks, Dr. Kahili King, for helping us ease or get rid of our pains, good luck, and God bless.
"AWESOME, GREAT INSIGHT INTO THE REAL GENGHIS KHAN"
Great for historians!
Genghis Khan, the man inside and his contribution to our world today. Our politicians should read/listen and take a lesson from a great man who was not motivated by power, greed and lust like most of them! Didn't realize I was so misinformed about him and I came out with a great admiration for how he performed the task he was obviously born to do, his respect for other religions, his brilliance, his fairness, ethics, could go on and on.
No. This is a great author/narrator combination!
This book is so absorbing, all-consuming, wonderful!
Thanks, Jack Weatherford, for painstakingly doing this for us. I want more of your books!
"An eye opener"
Near the top. The author is very thorough with his discussion on how to interpret your dreams. He gave me an aha moment when I realized the true meaning of a recurring dream that I couldn't find an explanation for. This pertained to extra rooms in the house, etc. Now I always keep my dreams in a journal and little by little I am beginning to understand my psyche. Thanks, Robert, for unlocking the secret of my dreams and I hope to continue learning from your book as I listen to it again and again.
Sorry I couldn't write more specifics for there are too many information one can learn from this book. Just buy it!
"A little info, a lot of self-promotion, criticism"
If there were more pertinent advice. The author tends to veer off the subject a lot of times, so many side stories. You could totally delete the first part and not miss a thing. Talks about EGO which he has a lot of, still. I have a "feeling" he's still so full of himself and self-promotion rather than an innate desire to help others.
Don't know why but this is the kind of book I'm struggling to finish for lack of interest. Probably not really my cup of tea.
"Another great one from Ram Dass but for the reader"
Listening to this book was a pain. The narrator, who constantly struggled with the word Maharaji, was terrible I couldn't get past Chapter 2, had to turn to another book. Can somebody please reread and reissue this book? The narrator did not do justice to the message. The substance was lost in the reading and any article by the master, Ram Dass, is excellent and enlightening. Ram Dass is the ultimate teacher and I revere him with all my heart but the reader was just terrible. As the other reader suggested, maybe just get the book...
Not on your life.
Please reread and reissue this book!
