Enchanted by a powerful spell, Highland laird Drustan MacKeltar slumbered for nearly five centuries hidden deep in a cave, until an unlikely savior awakened him. The enticing lass who dressed and spoke like no woman he'd ever known was from his distant future, where crumbled ruins were all that remained of his vanished world.

Brenda says: "Could stand alone in the series"
    "Deliciously erotic and savage!"
    Overall

I bought one of Karen's books first to 'try it out' and see if her series would appeal to me. First I have to say that I'd always loved Simon Prebble's voice/performance, but move over Simon cause Phil Gigante's voice had my body responding in ways that blew my mind! Wow! Talk about powerful!
After the first book, I bought every one of Karen's and am sadly on the last one, Dreamfever...
The male characters in the Highlander series are raw, savage, warriors from an ancient time. They're gorgeous with voracious sexual appetites, fiercely protective instincts, intelligent, magical and mystical, with a bloodlust and honor that leaves your knees weak. Sadly they all fall for silly, though smart virgins who literally fall into their laps and somehow blow away any and all competition. Hmmmm, that could be interesting...introducing a third party into the mix...
The books are fun, fantastical and a wonderful way to lose yourself for a few hours in another world where men are warriors and girls are introduced to womanhood by a skilled and imaginative lover. To be ravished repeatedly (eventually!)and rescued and loved by a man completely. Love it!

"Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness… He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily…Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other’s most private wounds…and desires."

Sylvia Day is a consummate storyteller who weaves a wonderful tale that captivates and enthralls from start to finish. I didn't want to stop. Didn't want any distractions to interrupt the telling as Gideon and Ava fall in lust and grow closer despite themselves...

What made the experience of listening to Wicked Ties the most enjoyable?

Shayla Black's books are always a treat to open and escape into and the Wicked Lovers series is a personal favorite. Wicked Ties is not only the first in this series but the one that started me on a journey of discovery perusing Ms Black's works. The writing is tight, brilliantly executed, knowledgeable and beautifully crafted. Her characters are smart, sublime, human, emotional, real and wonderfully memorable. I'm a huge fan!

Where does Secrets of a Summer Night rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

With the most marvelous Rosalyn Landor narrating the fabulous Wallflower series, these audible books are sublime! Lisa Keyplas writes with a passion and conveyed me to another time and place as I sewed and listened to the story unfold. Such a wonderful tale that ended too soon, but thankfully continues with the next book in the series. Thank you LK, Simply magic...

Ms Morton's The Forgotten Garden is such an intriguing tale, that it haunts me still, long after the final chapter is done. Mystery, murder, loss, love told with a flow that spans the years and takes the reader on a roller coaster ride from Australia to England.

Performed with consummate drama and flair and by narrator Caroline Lee.

    Silke says: "Very enjoyable"
    "'Magic and mayhem abound'"
    Overall

This would have to be my favorite trilogy from the most marvelous Nora Roberts, told with dramatic depth and passion by Dick Hill. Brilliant, simply brilliant!
Irish legend and magic roar with uncompromising fervor from centuries past to modern day, where the heroes and villains must inevitably face-off in the final chapters.

This character driven tale took on a life of it's own right from the start and I thoroughly enjoyed, and was captivated by each and every word!
Marvelous story Nora! Your creative genius, attention to detail, wonderfully woven plot and dramatic incline to the awe-inspiring conclusion was nothing short of devastating! I was a 'wet noodle' by the end, happy to curl in contented bliss after such a wondrous ride...

They were just kids when they stumbled upon the horror of their hometown. Now, as adults, none of them can withstand the force that has drawn them all back to Derry, Maine, to face the nightmare without end, and the evil without a name.

    "'Classic King'"
    Overall

I grew up reading Stephen King. A smuggled book hidden under the covers at night, flashlight often winking out at the worst possible moment...his novels filled a young girls head with morbid but insatiable fascination. On the mornings following a 'King fix', I couldn't wait to dress and get outside, yet his words haunted me and followed me unrelenting into the daylight hours.
God I love that man and his 'scare the shit' out of you tales!
'It' put me off clowns forever! Devilishly creepy and dark, murder, mystery and ancient evil, heroes that must eventually win the day or else! One of the master's BEST and most memorable works.
A fabulous, artful narration by the wickedly talented Steven Weber, -thanks Steven, now my horror has a voice as well!

This first book in the trilogy is deliciously suspenseful and quickly entices the reader to delve further and learn more about the blood brothers and the fate that awaits them and the women who love them, in Hawkins Hollow. A mix of legend, folk lore and an ancient evil combine with enough drama, passion and mystery to see you to the satisfying conclusion of the third book. Riveting!
LOVE Phil Gigante's voice! That man could read the phone directory as far as I'm concerned and I'd be enthralled! Brilliant execution, dramatic effects and passion!
